  • Steven Pierre, Twitter engineer explains “shadow banning,” says “it’s going to ban a way of talking”
  • Former Twitter software engineer Abhinav Vadrevu on shadow banning: “they just think that no one is engaging with their content, when in reality, no one is seeing it”
  • Former Twitter Content Review Agent Mo Norai explains banning process: “if it was a pro-Trump thing and I’m anti-Trump… I banned his whole account… it’s at your discretion”
  • When asked if banning process was an unwritten rule, Norai adds “Very. A lot of unwritten rules… It was never written it was more said”
  • Olinda Hassan, Policy Manager for Twitter Trust and Safety explains, “we’re trying to ‘down rank’… ****ty people to not show up,” “we’re working [that] on right now”
  • “Shadow banning” to be used to stealthily target political views- former Twitter engineer says, “that’s a thing”
  • Censorship of certain political viewpoints to be automated via “machine learning” according to Twitter software engineer
  • Parnay Singh, Twitter Direct Messaging Engineer, on machine learning algorithms, “you have like five thousand keywords to describe a redneck…” “the majority of it are for Republicans”

There are several alternatives to Twitter available where conservative opinions are not censored. Debatepolitics.com might be considered one of them.

Gotta love how self-defeating James O'Keefe is when he tweeted his article about tweeter censoring people like James O'Keefe.

Lowdown weren’t you just talking about how victimhood leads to genocide?

Well then Conservatives should stop being racist sexist pigs who advocate violence and similar threats... in other words.. be civilized.

Do you use the same level of scrutiny, with your government?

Twitter is a private business and can close the account of anyone they see fit.

I've noticed that the overall intelligence of Twitter users seems to of gone up recently. Now that they are banning conservatives it makes sense.

And maybe Liberals will stop being self entitled lazy sensitive ******s? Doubt it.

I am skeptical this is really a company policy. I tend to tweet very rye jokes in response to whatever is trending when I log on and I get plenty of MAGA likes/retweets, and left wing hate over time which is ironic since I do not like nor did I ever support Trump. Conservatives have better senses of humor about such things.

So because people object to racist sexist pigs, then they are "self entitled lazy sensitive ******s"? Let me guess.. you were the bully in the playground right?

Wow how remarkably thin of you...

Or... y'know, stop comparing a small sample of far-right conservatives to all the other, sane conservatives.

Now, now I've heard everything. DP... is an alternative... to Twitter. Yep, in the same way Colt 45 is an alternative to Ace of Spades.

If Twitter is really as dominant as you imply, then absolute fairness on their part is essential. Perhaps Twitter should be regulated as a utility, like liberals want the Internet to be regulated as a utility.

Twitter is a private company. Private companies do not have to be 'fair' and there is nothing essential about them having to be. Don't like it? Don't get a twitter account. Isn't that how it works for women who don't agree with Hobby Lobby and gays who disagree with Chik-Fil-A?

Or... y'know, stop comparing a small sample of far-right conservatives to all the other, sane conservatives.

Sure, when the normal sane conservatives start distancing themselves and condemning the "small sample of far-right conservatives"...

A lot of conservatives do condemn Alex Jones if that counts.

So you are in favor of net neutrality now, great.

And Facebook, I have not deleted myself yet but I almost never use it now. All of these social media platforms have trended towards hostility to freedom, so they dont meet my qualifications.

I would really disagree about their sense of humor. I've been threatened on Twitter by the likes of Scott Baio and his followers. They haven't been booted off and neither has Trump. Roger Stone did have his account blocked.

Your freedom to... force a private business to be a platform for your speech when you aren't even paying them?

Humor is the enemy of the safe space.
