Large protests against the autocratic Iranian regime have erupted in 80 out of the 94 cities in Iran. To go by the mainstream media in the US you'd think nothing much was happening. Or if they do report it they are anxious to claim that the protests have fizzled out.

What's the deal? Liberals are supposed to be happy and giddy when people rise up to demand freedom and democracy. But no dice here.

Liberals were happy when the Berlin Wall fell. They gave it great play in the news. But in this case we don't hear much.

Perhaps it is because this is an embarrassment for Obama. Obama gave great weight to the idea that if we gave Iran a deal on nukes the Mullahs would moderate.

So, just think of the media as Democrat operatives with bylines desperate to keep Obama’s Iran deal alive and prevent Trump from having a key international victory occur on his watch (and fearing he’ll take full credit for it), and their de facto working for the mullahs all makes sense.

Holy ****ing dishonesty! Let's just look at your CNN link to show just how big your lies are. The headline of the CNN story: Iran's Revolutionary Guards claim protests over. See that word claim? It does not mean it is true, it means some one(the Iranian Guard in this case) is saying it. CNN, for their part, "has not been able to verify the claim". So why do you feel the need to lie? why is honesty so hard for you?

So the MSM is trying to cover this up? They're doing a poor job. I've been hearing alot about it. And now they are reporting that Iran is arresting many of the protestors and that the protest numbers are going down dramatically and that means that in reality they are lying and is wishful reporting because they think that it might somehow look bad on former president Obama?

Who actually believes this ****?

Amazing right? CNN has reporters on the ground which have confirmed that the protests are getting smaller and they report the facts and then they get accused of only report it because they think it's great news or because they want it to happen. If they report on a plane crash does that mean they were hoping for a plane crash?

I can't remember the last time I opened a LowDown thread and it wasn't either incredibly dishonest or nothing but an idiotic opinion hit piece link.

As always, your stupid lying BS was shot down in the second post, so I'll just add.... Obama?

The guy who hasn't been President for nearly a year?

We're going to whine about OBAMA?

He's no longer as relevant as he used to be. Seems like a diversion from Trump.

Thank God we have Trump to tell us what is really happening!!!!!:lamo

Its funny, when someone manages a poke at their lord & savior.

You can easily count down to the moment the sycophants just come crawling out of the woodwork on their damn stomachs.

These knee jerk reactions are so damn hilarious.

Yes, but this thread isn't about Trump.

Yes, which is why its so easy to predict.
It's easy to predict Trump "sycophants just come crawling out of the woodwork on their damn stomachs" in a thread that's not about Trump?

Actually when you bring up one president, it becomes rather easy to start comparing one from another.

Then again, I don't know why I have to explain that for you.

Even if you where right, which I doubt you are, how would that make the original post more honest and less a lie?

No.

The protesters are protesting because of Iran's collapsing economy. Most of the sanctions for supporting Hezbollah and other groups are still in place. Going back on the Iran deal would just make the situation worse.

You're always accusing people of lying. There's never anything to it.

If CNN reports it then CNN supports it. That's the way it works. They report what supports the narrative they prefer.

Show me where CNN ever put the protests in a positive light.

Try reading the CNN article you llinked to in your #1

The protests began last Thursday over Iran's stagnant economy and the rising cost of living but quickly have developed into a broader outcry against the government.
They have become the most powerful challenge to the Iranian government's authority since mass demonstrations in 2009.

Or try Here's why the Iran protests are significant - CNN

Here's why the Iran protests are significant

Years of political, economic and social grievances have driven some Iranians into the streets in the largest protests since 2009, said Reza Marashi, research director for the National Iranian American Council.
"Economic sanctions have exacerbated all of those Iranian-origin economic problems," he said.
"I don't think you can separate the economic from the political," he told CNN. "The government has an opportunity and a responsibility to address legitimate grievances that are being expressed."
Alireza Nader, a senior international analyst and Iran researcher at the Rand Corp. in Washington, said people have also lost trust in Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
"The government is viewed as highly corrupt, increasing inequality is seen by the population as really a form of injustice," he said, adding "this was supposed to be a system that delivered justice to the people after the revolution of 1979 and it has failed."
Karim Sadjadpour, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said there's also a push to secure equal rights for women.
Nader said women in Iran have been fighting for decades for equal rights, but especially in the last few years, such efforts have become stronger.
"Women in Iran are highly educated. They are involved in the workforce, arguably more so than any other country in the Middle East, and they are continually suppressed. This is part of their fight to gain their freedom and their rights," he said.

Because it doesn't have to be a lie or honest, even the OP itself postulates this as a possibility.

I could honestly care less about the full mark of things when it comes to Obama's legacy and all of the things he did while in office. Though watching them fall apart as most of us knew they would, is still a revelation, that I am more then willing to indulge.
