Hucka-Sanders just downgraded them to a "potential event," confirming Trump as the biggest troll on Earth

There's no greater irony than a Trump supporter pointing out hypocrisy; Unless it's Trump himself.

Trump tweeted out a link on the officially GOP website and now...it apparently crashed.

When there is such a large disparity in political contributions between the two parties, it should tell you something. These people are voting with their dollars. Yes, journalists are people and people universally suffer from confirmation bias.

This applies to editorial decision making as well. So we get a big media flap over ****hole, but nary a word about an arrest and charges filed in the Uranium One scandal. Now why is that? I think we just found the answer to that above.

Other citations attesting to the left leaning bias in the media.

I guess unbiased news reporting is just too much to ask for.
When the president says some racist S**t is should make a media flap. A story attempting to draw attention from the president to a person who isn't the president of course isn't going to draw as much attention, especially when the president is as consistently deplorable as this one is.
It should be a bigger concern if his racist comments didn't create a media flap, or worse, you have media coverage defending those comments the way they did on Fox News

First you have to demonstrate that it was racist statement, and no, just you claiming it is is insufficient.

Since when does a country or a place have a race?
People have a race, yes, that's true. But then, the statement wasn't about people, it was about some nations.
So race is a newly invented characteristic of a nation invented especially for this occasion?

Or is it that you think the nations in question aren't ****holes?
And if you believe that they aren't ****holes, why is it that so many want to flee their wonderful native countries?

And why is the US obligated to take those people fleeing those nations?
Don't we have enough US citizens that need help that we should take care of first?
Being that they are, after all, US citizens, and those feeling other countries aren't US citizens.
Why should non-US citizens get preference over US citizens?

What, is any media outfit that criticizes Trump the Lügenpresse now? Maybe Trump should create "Department of Truth" and give Sean Hannity the power to decide what news is real or not eh?

Sure if you look at the surface of what he said he was only taking about nations. But he didn't just call African nations sh****es, he also added that we should be taking migrants from countries like Norway. He said he doesn't want people from majority black countries but he does want people from majority white countries. Why? Because he's assuming people from majority black countries are poor? Or uneducated? And that the people from Norway aren't? Are there no poor or uneducated people in Norway? Either way doesn't matter because that's not what he said. You can't ignore the fact that he said he wants people from white countries and not from black countries, that's how it's racist. Race is the underlying issue at stake here and his racist views are affecting immigration policy, which is the most important factor here.

To your other points, we can take care of people from other countries that aren't doing as well as we are AND people here. They want to come here to make better lives for themselves. They're not getting preference but they should get a shot. That's what America is about. Just because they're from a nation that may not be doing great economically does not mean that the people there don't have amazing value that they can bring here.

Also, given your views on this I'm assuming that you support cutting all kinds of social spending that actually benefit low income Americans just like POTUS and his Republican friends do so don't give me this line about how we should be helping Americans here, neither Trump nor his party care about giving a hand to people of lower economic status. The only things they care about are putting money into their own pockets and their friends pockets and widening the ever growing wealth gap.

Then the 'diversity immigration program' is just as racist as it makes the same argument only in reverse.

There's also an argument here that could be had comparing the ease assimilation of western cultures vs. non-western cultures. A pretty safe bet that those immigration from other western nations and cultures have an easier time assimilating and integrating to life here in the US.

But go ahead and claim that statement was racist, that countries now also have the charactistic of race and that countries can be offended. No, not the people of countries, the actual countries that were called a ****hole, which, by the way, they really are.

To your other points, we can take care of people from other countries that aren't doing as well as we are AND people here. They want to come here to make better lives for themselves. No one, and not even the statement in question is taking this position. However, granting entry into the US, for visitation or for immigration, or for temporary refugee status is a privilege and not a right. "Congress has delegated broad authority to the executive branch to set standards." (https://www.forbes.com/sites/danielf...ess-gives-him/), which this administration has done, and is expected to do.

Also, given your views on this I'm assuming that you support cutting all kinds of social spending that actually benefit low income Americans just like POTUS and his Republican friends do so don't give me this line about how we should be helping Americans here, neither Trump nor his party care about giving a hand to people of lower economic status. Err. No. The pocket thing is what the Democrats practice and their endless wealth redistribution schemes. Most normal, well adjusted people don't envy others successes in life.

Sometimes, when times are good, some people just need a little bit of push to get them to take the next step to self-sufficiency. There are those that'll never be able to completely take care of themselves, and yes, society should step in and help support them. But the nation can't afford to have 60% or more of the budget going to social programs and encouraging life long dependency. That's not what it's all about. The has always been, and needs to be, as many people as possible taking care of themselves, in which there is great dignity for them.

So which is the political left's priorities? Taking care of Americans? Or importing people who are going to get government hand outs while Americans go hungry. Think of the children. The hungry American children. Think of the homeless American Servicemen and Women. At least they got a raise recently.

    So make the DACA deal.
    Southern border physical barrier.
More resources for border security and enforcement.
    Mandatory Everify.
End Chain immigration (and I don't care what cockamamy bull**** story Durbin spins).
    End the visa lottery.
    Greater visa overstay enforcement.
For DACA legal status, and possibly path to naturalization. We should never be in another DACA situation, nor should ever be in the same level of illegal immigration.

Then we can talk about a system to make more efficient and effective the selection of immigrants (merit based system), as well as how to modernize the present byzantine immigration process into something a bit quicker.

PS: My handle is an ironic use of what Republicans call my views
Meh. OK. I wouldn't go so far as to say bull**** as much as I would say misguided, or perhaps uninformed at times. But I'm sure that you have similar opinions about the political right, so I guess fair's fair and all that.

But go ahead and claim that statement was racist, that countries now also have the charactistic of race and that countries can be offended. No, not the people of countries, the actual countries that were called a ****hole, which, by the way, they really are.

Countries can absolutely be partially identified by the racial makeup of their nation, which, by the way the people who make up a nation, all have races. So saying you want the people who are from a country who's people are generally white and not the people from a country who are usually black, is racist. I can't spell it out for you any clearer than that. I'm pretty sure even if he had called them all n words you would still be like "well that's what they are right?" Also a president insulting an entire continent with a racist statement is just plain stupid foreign policy and an entire political party defending it is equally racist and equally stupid.

No one, and not even the statement in question is taking this position.

Yeah the statement is taking that position. He just said that he doesn't want people from those countries, as if to say that the people in those countries can't contribute and won't meet his standards in his merit based immigration policy.

Err. No. The pocket thing is what the Democrats practice and their endless wealth redistribution schemes. Most normal, well adjusted people don't envy others successes in life.

So which is the political left's priorities? Taking care of Americans? Or importing people who are going to get government hand outs while Americans go hungry. Think of the children. The hungry American children. Think of the homeless American Servicemen and Women. At least they got a raise recently.

You must be a troll. There's no way any decent or reasonable person can think any this. Trump cut spending for programs that feed hungry Americans you know that right? When do liberals put money in their pockets? Republicans have been crystal clear about what they stand for and why. No gun control because it's bad for the gun industry. No regulations keeping companies from poisoning water and destroying ecosystems because it's good for a corporations bottom line. Tax cuts for the wealthy even though it'll increase the national debt (which is something they used to care about) because it helps make money for rich people, who then pay for republican candidates elections.
It's not a redistribution scheme, Jesus Christ. If you aren't wealthy and you believe that tax cuts for the rich are actually going to benefit anyone but the rich then you've been brainwashed by Fox news and have been ignoring the last 40 years of history. Republicans have been cutting taxes for decades and where has that money gone? Straight into the pockets of the corporations and wealthy individuals who got them. That's what has created the wealth gap in the first place. See when rich people get tax breaks, they don't need to go out and spend the money, they already have a great lifestyle. When poor people get tax cuts they spend the money to improve their life style which increases sales, which boosts businesses and which stimulates the economy. Poor people aren't just envious of the wealthy, they just want a slightly better piece of the pie. There's nothing wrong with that. Life kinda sucks when you work your ass off and all you can afford is rent and food, but then you also have republicans making it saying that if all you can afford is food and rent it's your own fault for being lazy, stupid and irresponsible. Meanwhile they're doing everything they can to pass legislation to make economic mobility more difficult. Keeping corporations from screwing people over isn't a handout, it's watching out for people who aren't wealthy. Republican policy has literally been cut taxes for the rich and increase taxes on the poor. Trumps tax cuts for lower income families expire, the tax cuts for the rich don't. They pull that kind of bull**** and then tell me that I'm lazy and looking for a handout? No I'd just like to make enough money at 1 job to make a living that's all.

FYI you know that republicans are against programs that feed poor American families right? Even poor children. Trump cut the funding for programs like meals on wheels which helps to feed hungry families last summer and funding for school lunch programs.

Then we can talk about a system to make more efficient and effective the selection of immigrants (merit based system), as well as how to modernize the present byzantine immigration process into something a bit quicker.

My argument has never been that we don't need any immigration reform, we do. My argument has been that the president calling an entire continent a s***hole and that we instead want people who are from a country that is predominantly white is racist, stupid, offensive and is completely counter productive during talks about immigration reform. Which is why it created a huge reaction in the news.
