With nine disparate tweets over three hours on Tuesday morning, the first working day of 2018, Trump continued to exploit social media to be the most aggressive commentator in chief in American history.

No surprise: Trump didn't give up old Twitter habits for the new year - LA Times

I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

Trump is hitting the New Year with a bang! What a president.

Re: No surprise: Trump didn't give up old Twitter habits for the new year

Trumps twitter addiction is but one small sign of his extreme narcissistic mental illness and social pathology which renders him unfit to hold office.

Trump is hitting the New Year with a bang! What a president.

Yes, he speaks around the media and doesn't hide behind canned spokesmen and Madison Avenue bull****ters that write fluffy speeches.

And people FAULT him for it!

Use of Twitter is proof of "addiction" and "extreme narcissistic mental illness and social pathology" which "renders one unfit."

OK - So what does rampant posting on a forum totaling nearly 100,000 posts mean?

I take it he makes you feel more manly.

Is haymarket running for office? I missed the announcement.

His tweets are actually refreshing.

How many old farts fight against technology? Instead we have a president that embraces social media and technology.... most importantly, he understands how to use it.

The Democrats, a big reason they lost 2016 was because they didn't understand how to use technology. A big reason why the DNC went nearly bankrupt.

Are you confusing an internet forum with the office of the President of the United States threatening another nuclear power with his own nuclear button?

Seriously?

The outrage against his Tweeting is just a political gambit. Had Obama done this, they'd be calling him creative, original, innovative, and speaking truth to power.

They're just pissed off that they didn't think of it.

I saw no threat. Where was it?

Welcome to 2018 tres borrachos.

The days of a president sending 1-2 e-mails in 8 years are over. Twitter is the new form of communication.

Re: No surprise: Trump didn't give up old Twitter habits for the new year

I take it he makes you feel more manly.

That wouldn't be possible since I'm a woman so you may want to may more attention before gender baiting with misandrist comments.

I have no doubt the media dislike being the filter between the president and the public, as they're accustomed to being. This makes it harder for them to control the narrative and direct social discourse.

Do you think people fault him for that, or could it be because of what he says? I like the idea of a president actually speaking for themselves, but not if it just boils down to daily dick measuring competitions. The last thing I want to know is that the world's most powerful person is also extremely insecure.

I'm trying to read along here....haymarket - "one small sign of extreme narcissistic mental illness......
worksforpigs - "use of twitter is proof of addiction.....

So what does not being able to move from sentence to sentence mean?

OK Special pleading fallacy and moved goal posts.

Obama does use social media. However not in the very crass way that Trump does.

I find it odd you're totally unconcerned that someone is attempting to smear another human being as mentally unfit because he posts an arbitrary number of times on Twitter for which his haters have taken it upon themselves to define as inappropriate.

OK I don't find it odd. I find it predictable.

Twitter is a wasteland for liberal trolls. Ever since Trump became president, he has layeth waste. That's why so many people are mad.

Re: No surprise: Trump didn't give up old Twitter habits for the new year

I think it's more a matter of whether or not the person that uses Twitter is liked or hated by those making comments. That's really the only difference. Trump's Tweeting is constantly used as a pretext to attack him.

Probably some. Just like some of his supporters would be outraged if Obama had been doing this and be calling it a disgrace to the presidency and all that.

I think most people are sincere though, especially since polls frequently even show that a majority of Trump's own supporters disapprove of his tweeting and think it hurts his agenda.

I think women can feel more manly... no other explanation for admiring his avoidance of fluffy.
