I don't understand going out to NYC to watch the ball drop. I might do it once, but it really seems like a frightful thing to experience.

Do people actually watch this stuff? I can't take more than ten minutes of it. The ball drop is like 30 seconds. It doesn't matter what channel it's on it all sucks.

I can't stand it. I loved watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve *insert year here* when I was a kid, because they had some pretty good bands, etc.

But as an adult? I was goofing off on Facebook when the new year turned over. Zzzzzzzz.....

My wife said she wanted to do it, once.

So I posed a scenario, for her to think about.

It's Dec 31, 5 degrees or so out, and you've been in the middle of a gigantic crowd for about 8 hours (cuz you gotta get there at noon or so to get into that crowd) and now you have to pee.

What do you do?

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I once accidentally found myself running through an impromptu Pitball concert in order to catch a bus out of Disney world, The concert was wall to wall elbows. I imagine it would be a lot like that.

We were in London on NYE and watched the awesome fireworks display at the Eye. It was amazing. That said, if we weren't someplace with cool things to watch on NYE, no, we wouldn't watch the ball drop. Boring!
