I hate that nearly the whole country's polls close and results are already posted before the West coast even starts to count votes. Before Oregon's vote by mail, people would turn away from the polling places, because they had already heard news that their vote no longer counted. I still feel National election day should be a holiday, in order to enable people to vote.

Given that we just gave a reckless lunatic with the temperament of a 2nd grader access to nuclear weapons I'd say we might have to start working more towards a one world government. Any shed of American Exceptionalism that might have existed at one point and time was abliterated the day Donald Trump was elected President. America has zero credibility in the world, and no moral authority whatsoever anymore.

The reason we have a federal government and not just a bunch of individual states is because our founding fathers recognized that smaller states would be more easily overrun by factions of extremists and competition between states would make peacefully arbitrating disputes between them essential. That was the 1770's, when automobiles, electiricty, airplanes, and internet didn't exist yet. The world is getting smaller and smaller by the day. Technology is bringing us closer as a people than we've ever been. Decisions made locally have a greater potential to impact the rest of the world than they ever have in history. The notion that we are an isolated country who can mind our own business and let everyon else mind theirs is absolutely obsurd, and out dated.

One world government is going to happen someday. The more selfish and narrow-minded people like you behave the faster you will bring it upon us.

You are correct about one world government (its mentioned in the last chapter of that Book no one reads anymore)... Blaming "people like me" (who absolutely oppose globalism) is pretty stupid, as if I were the one singing its praises and not yourself.

His certainity that globalism is the way things SHOULD proceed is the problem with his particular brand of Leftism. The politicians, who believe as he does, talk out of both sides of their mouth: Out of one side they speak of how badly America needs to be dismantled, and out of the other they tell everyone how badly America needs to elect them.

Oh, it's going to happen. The people of the world aren't nearly as different as you seem to think they are. The problem is that your leaders need you to think they are because it's how they justify their own leadership. They need to convince you that there are enemies to fight in order to justify their own heroism.

You're mistaking what the people want, and what they get. They have different leaders. Some of which are more totalitarian in their control, but ultimately the people themselves all want the same thing. They want saftey, security, freedom, and opportunity.

Furthermore, what causes so much of the vast differences from one part of the world to the other is largely due to the bubbles that their leaders are able to keep their populace living in. They are able to prostilitize to their children a set of ideals that may or may not have any basis in rational sense. That is much easier to accomplish on a smaller scale than a bigger one. It's relatively easy for a group of extremists to take over a smaller state or country, but the wider the scope the harder it becomes. That's why so many right winger's in this country are constantly bitching about states rights.
