Let me guess, you think fact-checker sites are fake news.
guess again...

Well if they find collusion and successfully prosecute the people involved then I am sure you will call for Trump to applegize. The media is not, and should not, be immune from accountability for what they report. Challenging them for shoddy reporting is a good thing, and isn't abridging anyone's free speech.
Conservatives give me a list of the media printing or reporting a wrong story without a retraction and Liberals lets counter that with the myriad of reporting that was non factual on the Right. We can start with the years of Obama was born in Kenya......your serve.
Can Trump just declare anything he wants to be fake news and will his supporters believe it? If so, do Trump supporters create an environment of zero accountability for him?

Do you have an example?
Sounds like the Obama administration. Wow.
How many times has Trump declared something as fake news and how many times have you accepted without question and how many times have you decided look into what Trump has declared fake news and see whether ge us right or not.
You want me to give examples of stuff he does all the time? Fine, here is a google search, knock yourself out:

I was hoping for a knowledgable response that showed you might be basing you post on something. Anything.
You're not my first disappointment.

We are talking about a morally-decrepit, a womanizer and an adulterer, military-bashing, politician-buying, and silver-spooned elite, who merely had to attach slogans around the mindless hate that the GOP and Fox News had been responsible for for eight years, for a supposed morally-sound, family-valued, military-supporting, and Christian constituent base, which professed to be sick of the politically elite, to cheer enthusiastically for him.
It's not too much of a reach to consider that, with conservatives rebuking an entire planet's worth of scientists, who kept insisting that Global Warming was not a hoax, it is fairly easy to pass off all inconveniences and any negative press as "fake news" and expect exactly the Conservative reaction he gets. Trump rode to Washington on a bitter wave of hate and he maintains his status among the faithful through hateful Tweets and poor behavior. He calls out for "help" to his faithful during this exhausting investigation. He arbitrarily reminds them that they hate Clinton and Liberals. His insults and taunts towards global leaders and other nations is encouraged by how much fun his faithful are having. Our allies and enemies line up together to condemn us and the faithful merely cheer louder. He has opened the door completely for Russia, China, and the EU to assume our former leadership roles and the faithful love it. The irrational hate runs so deep that it is as if so many years of declaring that Obama was secretly trying to destroy America, the faithful are looking for Trump to do it so that Obama can't get the credit.
The man has become a false god for many of them in the same way that they ignore certain scriptures in order to cling to an illusion. Through Trump, many have created for themselves a whole new identity, which means criticism towards Trump is criticism towards them. They don't even know how they feel about Putin one week to the next because Trump is inconsistent. So, if Trump declared that Jeffrey Dahmer was actually a good guy and that the "fake news" had led Americans astray, the faithful would start wearing Dahmer t-shirts in tribute.
The whole thing is actually quite entertaining to watch. And I must admit, that was fun to write.
You are missing the point of this thread, its not about Trump or the media, its about Trump's supporters and whether they will believe anything he says without question, so I can point to any numerous examples if fake news he has made, but the end of the day my point is it seems like a lot of his supporters believe his claims without taking any time to reflect on whether he may actually be right or not. Conservatives claim to be individualistic, but they often promote group think among their ranks.
It would certainly be easier, if the media hadn't so blatantly given cause to distrust.
That sums it up very well, except that, if Trump does succeed in bringing America down, his supporters will still blame Obama for it.
Well, he clearly gave you a link that demonstrates Trump's mindless use of the moronic term. I went to the link. Seems clear to me. Has it gotten so bad that people's inconvenient posts are "fake news" too? Did I even post this? Let me check my birth certificate to see if the source of this post is "fake."
The whole thing is absurd. "Fake news" is the Enquirer or the Onion. What Fox, CNN, and the rest do is called bias.
That sounds like what aboutism. I think anyone who demands zero accountability from political leaders is a fool, no matter what party they are in.
Trump has legitimately pointed out that the source of the story creates a particular, predictable slant in the story.
He labeled it Fake News.
Trump has a knack for applying labels that go directly to the core of any issue and describe the subject in basic, understandable and obviously true terms.
Crooked Hillary stuck because it was so true and accurate. Same with Fake News.
He employs the same gentle diplomacy as your average Drill Sergeant. In a world of half truth and veiled meaning, this is refreshing.
Can Trump just declare anything he wants to be fake news and will his supporters believe it? If so, do Trump supporters create an environment of zero accountability for him?
But how you do know if he is correct or not when he labels something fake news? What stops Trump from turning this into a get of jail free card?
Bush and Trump are completely different from each other.
So you hold the media to a higher integrity standard than the President ?
