"seems like" that guy off in the corner (without secret service agent or escorts) wad Donald Trump! That's a totally unbelievable excuse.

Basically Weigel got caught lying "accidentally on purpose" and gave a weak-assed apology that smacked of insincerity. There's no way he didn't know he was spreading false information.

Seems like trump tweeting is only news when it puts trump in a positive light. All other times, it's media making a big deal out of nothing burgers or Trump tweets aren't news at all and that he is free to tweet about anything he wants. Trump has a platform of millions of people, and he has NEVER used it to promote anything other than himself, and when he doesn't tweet about himself, I guarantee you that it isn't from himself. Seems like he should focus more on important matters happening in our country rather than people criticizing or lying about him. Seems like Trump's feeding his own fragile ego by cooking up another faux weekend controversy instead of doing his GodD**n job!

Frail broken down ego....Hyper inflated outside the boundary of normal ego.....seems to me that a lot of folks want to pretend like both are true, and I say pretend because it is impossible for both stories to be true.

All I can say is that all media is biased, that TV news is garbage, and big mistakes are ****ing terrible. I really do want everything vetted well, the more so the more important it is and/or the more important its target is. But a mistake is a mistake, while a lie is a lie.

But if we're going to worry about less-than-truths and so forth, we also need to look at the uniquely long lists of distortions, exaggerations, lies, and general crappery that our CiC has spewed. No, he's not the media. But why should one position of authority be distinguished from another?
