Another CNN Trump Bombshell Goes Off In Their Faces

Meanwhile Fox had to walk back ITS false claim that the Moore accuser's yearbook was "forged".

It'd be nice if media had more quality control before throwing meat to the viewership, but a stupid mistake is hardly a "bombshell".

So, from Fox it's a false claim. From CNN it's a stupid mistake. Got it.

If someone mistakenly says something that is not true, then what they have said is false. In fact, if it's not true, then it is false regardless of why it was said, mistake or otherwise. "Not true" is literally the definition of false. Because it was not true, aka false, Fox walked back its claim.

Similarly, the date of the 4th was not true, aka false, so that claim was also walked back.

Duh.

I get that you're trying to play stupid debate board games, but you should really think through that kind of intended gotcha.

Don't 'duh' me. Your the one with the contradicting statement. And I'm not trying to play any ****ing game. If your not clear enough that someone misunderstands what your saying, that's on you. A false claim is NOT the same as a stupid mistake. Saying they made a false claim has a more negative suggestion than saying they made a stupid mistake, and you know it. Duh

Now you're going to lie about the English language rather than say "oops" or apologize?

Not true = False

Something said that is not true IS false without regard to why it was said. The intent or lack thereof behind a statement has absolutely no bearing on whether the statement is true.

If I mistakenly say the moon is made of silver, I made a false claim.

If I say the moon is made of silver with intent to deceive someone into believing it, I made a false claim.

Again, the intent behind the statement has no bearing on whether the statement is false. There is no "negative suggestion" in the term "false claim". That's the English language.

So as we both know, there is no misunderstanding here. You are trying to compare "false claim" with "lie" because you want to insinuate that I am a hypocrite. Well, you can stuff that idiocy.

Fox DID make a false claim. That's why they walked it back. Ditto for CNN and its walkback. If you choose to read some malicious intent into someone's recognition of the fact just so you can attack them, that reflects on you, not the other person.
