...we are seeing the fastest growth in manufacturing employment ever, but this is a BAD thing because "the job market feels like it might overheat".

Gosh. Lots of job openings. That means wages might rise. That would be terrible.

Very similar to how leftist want illegal immigration so they can have dirt cheap(3$ labor) orange juice.... it's the end of the world if farms actually have to raise wages in order to get workers...

Excellent news. Can you let me know which passed and implemented Trump legislation is responsible for the growth in manufacturing jobs? Thanks in advance.

When your support for Trump is so blind that you're personally triggered by basic economic analysis.

I hope the manufacturing jobs do well because it sounds like the tax bill is going to obliterate the coal mining industry Trump is so keen on. Those guys will need somewhere to go.

Yes - You could say for the "general economic participant" in a developed market, the ideal economic growth would be 2-4%. Gains larger than this could be indicative of over-production, which can lead to glut and economic collapse.

The classic example in American history is farm production during the Great Depression. For the first time farmers were able to produce far more than America's demand. Therefore the price of these crops crashed due to the glut, leaving farmers penniless and unable to pay their bills. In fact their crops were so worthless, that much of it was left to rot in the fields, while other parts of the economy, like urban workers, went starving.

Farmers would have lost money picking, packing and shipping those crops to the end consumers. Again, it was that bad.

Obviously we are not facing that situation, but this is what Zandi is talking about. In a developed market like ours the ability to manufacture goods far, far surpasses the economy's ability to consume. Poorly managed supply chains could lead to heavy losses in the manufacturing sector.

I read that. The bottom line is a working man has no use for the Democrats. JFK is probably doing ~ 600RPM in his grave wondering what happened to the democrat "party of the working man".

This "overheating" is where the working man gets raises due to labor shortages. Why do you think democrats want open borders? To keep child care and house keepers, gardeners, etc, cheap enough even they can afford them! We haven't had labor shortages in 20 years due to open borders filling in the slack. Cheap.

On which planet do you live where you think Republicans aren't backing businesses in their desire for cheap labor.

To a point, but they are not in favor of illegal labor. That is pretty much a liberal gig for small businesses.

What's that saying "Democrats want illegals to vote and not work, Republicans want them to work and not vote". The only use the democrats have for illegals is to grant them eventual amnesty and destroy the opposition parties with demographic change. That's why democrats are so against the Electoral College process.

BTW, Democrats are assuming they will have a "Latino bloc" like they do a "black bloc". good luck with that.

Laughable. I might as well ask Michael Moore to describe your beliefs for me. I'd get a more accurate response from him.

Not long ago the border was easier to cross, so much so that there wasn't so much illegal immigration. They were called 'migrants' back then, because the men would work the season in the US and then go home to Mexico where their wages went a lot further. Now they bring their families north and stay, because it's too risky to cross back and forth.
And if you think it's Democrats luring them and exploiting their cheap labour, you're deluding yourself. All those wealthy, influential employers making big bucks off illegal immigration are the reason for your problems, not the illegals themselves or the Democratic Party.

Deregulation.

Deregulation.

Which regulations, what was the effect, and what evidence can be provided to support this? Come on. If someone said the ACA slowed the growth in insurance premiums, you'd demand proof. Growth in premiums did slow down for a bit, surely you wouldn't just accept at face value it was the ACA that did it. Why, you might even point out the fact that the slowdown in premium growth was during the recession.

I think a lot of the excitement is based on expectations, on calls he's made and on deregulation. He's gotten rid of some regulations making it more difficult to go after energy resources. We've seen complaints about that haven't we?

We've also seen the coal industry tell us this new tax plan is going to destroy them. There's a reason I'm asking for evidence. You know, real analysis. Maybe some math involved.

Interesting statement. The 'fastest growth in maufacturing employment ever"?

Given your history of dishonesty and distortions, you'll understand if I ask could you please back that up with a credible source?

The Democrats are importing future Democrat voters.

Brilliant. Ignore everything I said and post some lowbrow right wing meme like it's a reply.
Go ahead. Show me how the Democrats are importing people. Republicans control the House, the Senate, the White House, the SCOTUS, but it's all the fault of the Democrats. What are they doing, running ferries at night across the Rio Grande? Chartering flights from Guadalajara? Kidnapping border-crossing officers and replacing them with retired Mariachi musicians?

...you buy toilet paper with Trump's image on each sheet.

Trump isn't part of the legislature. I see you're another one who doesn't understand that. What Trump is part of is the Executive Branch, and his executive actions are driving the current economy.

One doesnt legislate confidence.

No question that's the stance that establishment republicans take. Everyone from the Wall Street Journal to the National Review is on that page.

That's where Trump differs. Hence the #neverTrump crowd. They share the Democratic Party's deep hatred of working class Americans who won't work unless wages are decent.

It's just adorable that you think Trump differs on this subject.

Well, I certainly won’t feel offended by “Outer Space Potato Man”!

And BTW, how do you stop a candidate from running?
