The White House expects Trump to get even more outrageous

Yes he is a liar (like almost every politician regardless of party), yes he has a massive ego but people didn't vote for him because of that. They voted for him because he had an economic message that resonated.

I guess if he's willing to lie about that it shows his word is meaningless.

But when 6 threads pop up after Fox News runs an anti-liberal bit, that is not at all people the people who created the threads were fed opinions by activist media, right?

"you guys"....

/sigh

nope, fox does the same for the other side. When folks like you post them as sources, and I want to attack the source, I'll find a good reason in the article to challenge it, whether it's cnn or fox. It's called "objective thinking" try it sometime.

He probably does not even think he is lying, although I am sure he has willfully lied before. None of this should be surprising at all.

Being perpetually outraged about Trump is not going to stop his re election in 2020, Trump opponents either create an economic message that resonates or continue with Trump derangement syndrome and identity politics. Make a decision.

He is not a professional, he was never meant to be one. Even him being president he still does not like to call himself a politician. That's what people voted for, and the type of politician regardless of party that has been in control for the past few decades has let down the American people time and time again. No wonder Trump is not professional, people are too angry to care about 'professional'.
The only ones angry are the older white people that sit around getting angry listening to a.m. talk hate radio , blaming everybody and everything for their problems. Those are the ones that voted him into office. As well as the low-information trailer demographic that sees Trump as nothing but reality TV entertainment value, and as long as Trump is pissing off “Libtards” ‘they don’t care if the world is burning around them. And then there’s the white supremacists that until now have had to resort to the toilet of the Internet to make and keep their voices heard. Trump is a disgrace to what the office of the presidency stands for.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself with declaring a Trump 2020 victory.

In fact the midterms could be disappointing for the GOP. If that were the case would that be enough of a referendum on Trump, for the GOP to flee him? And enough of a reality check for his base to recognize that Trump winning in 2016 was narrow enough to not give him a giant Trump mandate?

Look at Bush he lost the popular vote but in 2004 he won the election with the popular vote. What I am saying is the Democrats need to have an economic message which resonates instead of obsessing with identity politics that normal working class people simply don't care about.

Both left and right wing individuals blame their lifes failings on other groups, it is not restricted just to the right. Many blacks blame whites for their position in society even if they have benefited from affirmative action and many whites continue to blame blacks for their failings.

Both left and right wing individuals can be low information.

I agree, Dems ran an establishment candidate when populism was in the air. Critical mistake.

And I wouldn't count on the Dems embracing left wing economic populism because their owners are opposed to that,

But their owners are not opposed to right wing economic populism.

So, the Dems can't really embrace left wing populism because then their owners, the ones who fund them, will lose.

I think if you can illustrate that right wing economic populism is a lie and left wing economic populism is the real path forward, to boosting Americans standard of living, that will be key in moving us forward as a country.

But, the game has been rigged to disallow a political solution, as the donor class owns both parties.

sure, but all of that has nothing to do with Trump demeaning the position that he holds.

Even with the Democratic party establishment dumping the Clinton's it is still going to be an uphill struggle for them. If the democrats want to save themselves they would have someone like Tulsi Gabbard run against Trump, she would win in a landslide guaranteed probably 70%. She is a real non interventionist, a left wing economic populist and she served in the military, honestly even I would vote for her.

It is a myth that Trump won with an economic message. He won by demonizing Clinton and playing a new kind of identity politics called "Americanism" which is built on appealing to a particular demographic of working whites whose lives have been made worse by the forces of globalization and who have sincere distrust for the media and the Establishment in government. Those people have latched on to Trump because they believed he cared about them, when in fact Trump is using them just like Democrats have used blacks for decades.

Not a professional, but I do think Trump has multiple psychological/behavioral disorder(s). OCD and bipolar mood swings.

He's definitely an habitual liar, and exhibits episodes of delusion and grandeur. Lacks empathy, ethics, decorum, and fidelity.

An obsession with power, yet he seems to lack the intellectual skills necessary to appreciate/respect power.

sure, but all of that has nothing to do with Trump demeaning the position that he holds.

It's the current state of America, if something does not change in the coming years Trump will look like a girl guide compared to some of the hardliners you might have whether they be left wing economic radicals and right wing bible thumpers.

Elevating someone from House to Presidency is a stretch but then, so is reality TV real estate mogul to Presidency.

I would support Tulsi 100%.

Her candidacy would take away the DNC's main "you're all sexists and racists" talking point from them, during the primaries which would be delicious. And then they could have their pet talking point back in the general, lol.

I am not saying his cultural message of traditionalism and american nationalism was not part of it but that all nicely fitted in with his economic message of globalisation leading to industrialization of large parts of the country.

His hardcore fans probably think he cares about them but hardcore fans do not win elections, swing voters win elections and they voted for Trump where it mattered.

She seems like a decent real person. A real person who is not an asshole. Trump is real but an asshole. It would be nice to have a president who is real and not an asshole, but to be honest I don't blame the American people for voting for him, they just wanted something that was real instead of the cookie cutout Bush/Clinton borgs.

He is certainly a conspiracy theorist. Insane? He is brash and rash. Racist? No I think you are going too far with that assessment.

He may not be racist, but he is a racist impersonator: housing discrimination, Central Park Five, Mexican rapists, false info on black on white homicide, Pocahontas, ban on all Muslims, ban on some Muslims...

I doubt Trump cares about race. But he uses it effectively.

Rust belt and mining. Working whites with an axe to grind. They are the new "blacks" when it comes to voting. They have a shared cultural identity.

If the White House thinks Trump will get even crazier... Can't they do something???

https://www.axios.com/the-white-house-expects-trump-to-get-even-more-outrageous-2513737853.html

When Trump is mad he goes berserk on Twitter. When Trump is happy he goes berserk on twitter. If he gets three consecutive wins in a row. How will that affect the man with the emotions of a three year old?

I’m not so sure the Republicans are exhausted. Trump is the perfect distraction. Republicans are supporting Trump’s self-will-run-riot rampage as he serves out the remainder of his time in office because they know they have a patsy to blame for all of their current and future debacles.

When America fails to be great again (Well comparing it to some mystery time when it was), Republicans will have the Anti-Establishment President to point their fingers to.

The Democrats are licking their chops and forecasting a huge gain in both chambers in upcoming elections. But I say, “Beware!” Look at Alabama’s Moore, Jones contest. If Moore wins it might be an omen of populism and radical
office seekers filling up Washington to the brim.

Obviously anything is possible in politics.

Exhausted by the Trump presidency? Brace yourself: White House officials expect Trump to be even more outrageous and cocksure in coming months.

When Trump is mad he goes berserk on Twitter. When Trump is happy he goes berserk on twitter. If he gets three consecutive wins in a row. How will that affect the man with the emotions of a three year old?

The two are in contradiction. His flip-flopping, lack of conviction, and value-less record in the White House proves that he is highly insecure and cocksure about nothing. He has more than proven that he is in way over his head.

And his off-the-cuff verbal comments were sign enough of his inability to maintain composure without his more thought about off-the-cuff lashing about on Twitter, proving that he is also very insecure and mentally weak to boot. I believe he learned on the campaign trail that as long as he arbitrarily insults people (from American to international political leaders), that his flock will continue to worship with pride. What they don't see is that as the rest of the world is making better decisions about the world we live in, Trump has made it a policy to do the opposite at all costs. Putin looks better composed and correct over North Korea. Britain (even France) looks better composed and correct over the MENA. And all Trump can manage to do is toss out moronic jabs to embarrass our country and please his faithful fanatics.

And another thing that appears to be a trend. Given his recorded comments about the worth of women, his constant need to bash Clinton beyond the campaign, insulting Megyn Kelly, commenting arbitrarily on Elizabeth Warren, and now this arbitrary Tweet towards Theresa May in Britain...it appears that Trump is also highly insecure about his own manhood. He really seems to need to tear women down. And the shame is that many of his fans are women. How little worth must they think of themselves.
