Time Sold to Koch Bros Front Group

well, maybe he CAN get Time's 'Troll of the Year' after all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like Koch's only interest here is making money, get in get out and generate wealth for itself in the process. Koch might have greased the skids some in Washington though, corruption at the very top almost certainly allowed this deal to happen, against the interests of the nation.

Media should not be this concentrated.

Like Soros, they shouldn't be influencing politics and policies with their money like they do. I don't know why so many right wingers act like they like these guys. They don't actually represent anybody. They buy and influence our reps and media with their money.
 
I could muster up some moral outrage if I tried really hard, but it’s Time in the 21st century. Not that interesting or consequential, either way.

They forgot one thing when you say Time to a Trumpy all they reply is I don't wear a watch. The Koch's forgot that their voters have trouble with Mags like Time. Maybe if they put in a lot of pictures.

I hope they plan to show their disdain for Trump next year and put their money behind the "establishment" candidates that Trump and his minions loathe so much, and who his alt-right troll friends Sean Hannity and Steve Bannon are trying to destroy.

Middle America in 2009 was like the angry bull at the rodeo. They had just been seriously hurt by the recession and were ticked off. The Koch brothers, by funding all the Tea Party astroturf (ahem, I'm sorry, "grassroots") started waving the red cape in front of them, to amuse and entertain themselves. But they waved it around and ticked off the bull so much that the bull ended up going berserk and the first to be gored were themselves this last election.

Oh well, teaches them not to mess with the bull so much anymore. It's angry and it's stupid, so there's no telling what it's going to do. They are going to have to find some other way to advance their agenda of cutting their own taxes.

Both sides have their low information voters and both sides have their informed supporters, Kochs are obviously going after the later. Discount and marginalize the opposition to your peril.
