heya,

i'm a forum newb, and this post is busting my debatepolitics post cherry. put straight i'm a graduate freelance researcher who writes short analytical reaction papers as well as longform essays, and often poetry. i'm left leaning and progressive, advocating the role of evidence and changing perspectives on the basis of evidence.

here is the body of an article i constructed on media strategies surrounding russia. it's called 'the bars behind our eyes.' please critique charitably!

thanks

recently, an article on the bbc web service begun with a bad portent. speaking about speculated collusion between the trump campaign, russia, and a shadowy, diffuse lobby of malevolent activists, it made 'russia' and the 'kremlin' synoymous. making 'kremlin' a hypernym to 'russia' as hyponym means people will reflexively think of all russians under the auspices of kremlin diktat.

welcome to the next liberal bogeyman. but the dreamers don't worry; and they're not the only ones. worse still than the bbc leading clues of semantic totalitarianism like in 1984, the guardian have selectively presented facts and elaborated on the trump conspiracy, with an addendum brexit was affected too, giving an illusion further credence and currency in influential left spheres. it is obvious the liberal media is incongruous with the broadest application of truth. so who it is serving? why?

the most likely answer is that the relative free movement of lobbyists around the world combined with unethical application of research in to effective lobbying meant the psy-op took pace very quickly. a case study is in how zac goldsmith copied donald trump's tactics in his bidding to be london mayor. in all truth, it's gotten even more confusing in time, because we are facing the fact the shadow administration of the world's preeminent hawk lobby, clinton, is starting a second red scare and isolating, neutralising opponents with propaganda, whilst deceiving us that spies and not the loss of rights the world around and activist surveillance is the real threat.

when i studied the yugoslav war and found nato played its agenda out on telly, i began to develop critical doubt of claims in the media, because i was horrified and hurt seeing beautiful satirical exaggerations of the world that i loved like catch 22 and 1984 becoming a scientific treatise on reality. eventually, i consumed so much news with my magnifying glass i conjured up a path to enlightenment. if you take an obvious lie and counterfactually reason deducting backwards to what's true, you'll verify what's in the best interests of goodwill, and what's really behaving to conspire.

in 2010 the liberal media was ablaze with optimism for the vision of unified human purpose in liberation from domination, it was glasnost and perestroika for the whole world, spread by acts like ***** riot. of course their cause got sucked up by narrow interests but to the rebel heart they were in common cause. if anyone starts speakers corner in church and gets jailed, jesus would be horrified, and people would be too.

since then the russian state has gained auxiliary governments in eastern europe protect by military stealth that isolate and neutralise opponents for sexuality, and resistance. and suddenly, with the staunch soft power of the preeminent hawk lobby - clinton- in politics, academia and the media, the idea begins to filter to the public that there is a moral panic about russians undermining our security.

the problem is this justifies the continuity of their power in a decidedly sectarian global order, when the ideal is to have a world where people in america and russia have common cause to bring down oppressors. so don't believe the moral panic. there was an unspoken but viscerally lived zeitgeist of occupying the future with real democracy that united movements as specialized and diverse as occupy!, wikipedia, twitter, wikileaks and uk/usuncut. i don't know how to prove it but my experience is that facebook is malleable to domination politics; it sells your data, and profits off its algorhythm. above all the list of networks i listed emphasised representative and participatory actions that make meaningful interventions on critical social issues. when pacifist researchers become sullied by accusations of espionage and the campaign of propaganda is directed at whole institutes like pre-stalin bolsheviks in adherence to constitutional democracy, it's time we realised: war pausted, restarted, and we were indoctrinated to forget. when they cry spies there are bars behind our eyes.

To simplify one could learn to analyze news with one important question. "Is it the truth or the exact opposite of the truth?" This is because those projecting the agenda are often ideologically opposite of reality. Russia/Kremlin, Chavez/Dictator, Maduro/Dictator, Assad/Dictator, Qaddafi/Dictator, Maduro/Communist, Trump/Russia, USA/Freedom, War/Liberation, ISIS/NusraFront/evil, Jabhat al Sham/good guys, Saudi Arabia/ISIS, Saudi Arabia good/Yemen bad. Buzzwords are used to hide realities. That is our MSM. It is agenda driven by a war making evil force. I've only identified a few, but there are hundreds of buzzwords to manipulate those susceptible. KISS.

The demonization of Russia and Putin is simply one of several propaganda offensives underway by the Deep State and TPTB.

Some humans realize when they are being brainwashed, others do not.
