Believe it or nuts, it was FOX News.

And here is the commercial:

Thomas Fahr Steyer (born June 27, 1957) is an American hedge fund manager, philanthropist, environmentalist, progressive activist, and fundraiser.

Steyer is a leading Democratic activist and fundraiser. In 1983, he worked on Walter Mondale's presidential campaign. He raised money for Bill Bradley in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004.

An early supporter of Hillary Clinton in 2008, Steyer became one of Barack Obama's most prolific fundraisers.

Steyer served as a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions in 2004 and 2008.

Steyer has been a member of the Hamilton Project and has been involved with the Democracy Alliance a network of progressive donors whose membership in the group requires them to donate at least $200,000 a year to recommended organizations.

Steyer has been compared with and contrasted with the Koch brothers, billionaire businessmen who engage in extensive political activity, and has been viewed as a Koch adversary.

So what has this to do with "FOX news," or did they just report it somewhere?

(EDIT: I see you changed the thread title. )

Anyone can buy air time on just about any channel...if they have enough money. :coffeepap:

Trying to hit that right balance between the very standard Fear Up and earnest pleading "Do the right thing because I told you so"......

"Nullify an election because I told Ya We Gotta".

That was the pitch.

EDIT: I would love to see Don Draper give that pitch.

It is the "Yes We Can" pitch. Very smooth and very wrongheaded.

FOX News is the network that aired the commercial. Not reported about it. Aired it as a commercial. I was surprised as hell.

Might have to do with the fact that ad-revenue is down 15% at Fox News according to rumours. If true.. then they are desperate for revenue :)

They aired it, which is fine.
If someone is willing to pay for the air time, they are willing to give them the spot they want.

Great commercial. Let s hope it gets many viewings and is seen by every American. Trump must be removed ASAP.

So you want to go down the coup road, like was tried with Clinton. I hope that this never happens, as it could be the final straw that breaks America apart.

Actually, that is the constitutional road.

Surprised?
Why?
Fox, like most of the media, will air whatever the advertisers pay to have aired.

You didn't think that their political hype was real, did you? It's all about selling air time.

Agree 100%.

FOX would alter its political niche in a heartbeat if a higher revenue flow was guaranteed.

"The ends justify the means" has corrupted so many minds, how is America ever again to have nice things I wonder......

I believe it might be more complicated than that, but in general I think that pretty close to the heart of the matter.

And here is the commercial:

Isn't the bigger issue that a billionaire lib is instigating a coup of a sitting US President?

Actually this is about Trump breaking the law but I know you could care less. You believe Trump is above the law and so does Trump. You are both wrong.

You should read the Constitution, specifically where it mentions grounds for impeachment. The Constitution is what holds us together, ignoring it is what might break us apart.

What are you smoking? Don't bogart it. Pass it to me. LOL.

The law is a wreck, and fashioned so that the authorities can come pick up who they want at will, so "Trump is a criminal" does little for me.

I saw it, and I ignored it.

No the law is what keeps us together as a nation and no one is above the law. When Trump disregards the Constitution by allowing foreigners to buy favor at his resorts he is violating his oath of office. It is really quite simple logic.

And you know I get around, how rare it is for me to come across someone who cares about the breakdown processes and systems, for me to find someone who says "Hey wait a second, we have so abused these systems that they dont work anymore, America does not work anymore, shouldn't we care about that....should we really be so focused as we are on the next win for our will?"

And we have likewise abused civility, with no regard for the costs of the breakdown of civilization, costs which are humongous, and now clear for all who want to see to see.

Political reform movements have existed in this country for a long time.

Oh please, we have been abusing the Constitution for a long time, but Trump keeping his business open is not harming it.

The law is extremely important, having good just laws is extremely important.

We should get on that one day again.

If trump really was concerned about representing the United States, he should have no connections with his buissness interests.
