You won't believe who aired a commercial to impeach Trump

Get real! This Steyer guy should brush up on his history before he reveals how ignorant he is or tries to lie to an hopefully
ignorant public in his eyes:

Steyer States: "A Republican Congress once impeached a president for far less.' This dope doesn't even realize that Richard Nixon
was the only two term president ever than never had a republican majority in congress. All Nixon ever had was democratic congresses.

Nixon was never actually impeached. Could be he's talking about Clinton or Andrew Johnson. In fact, a Democratic controlled Congress has never impeached anyone.

Believe it or nuts, it was FOX News.

And here is the commercial:

Just saw this commercial this morning on NBC or ABC, don't remember which one.

Great commercial. Let s hope it gets many viewings and is seen by every American. Trump must be removed ASAP.

I agree with pretty much everything the guy says, but I cannot stand the way he speaks, the way he presents himself. I'm not familiar with him enough to know if that's his natural way of speaking or if he's trying too hard to be taken seriously. The whole almost breathless thing is very grating to me, and after I've seen it a couple times that's all I can focus on.

Precisely. Anyone who suggests a coup is only outing them self as a blind partisan hack.

Yup, our armed forces are full of dimwitted, jingoistic Bubbas and Jim Bobs who believe our military spreads freedom and democracy. They're not going to remove their darling Trump.

So are you calling for the military to remove President Trump?

The implication is that the message will reach Trumps supporters. But I guess you missed the point in between serving your usual sarcasm.

Not really a point is the point.

I am willing to bet that if someone wanted to run a negative ad regarding some progressive-left issue on CNN and met the (probably exorbitant) advertising rate demanded...they could have their ad play at whatever time they wanted.

Isn't the bigger issue that a billionaire lib is instigating a coup of a sitting US President?

so impeachment isn't a constitutional process and is a "coup" now?

Believe it or nuts, it was FOX News.

And here is the commercial:

Did not go thru the complete thread, but Fox dropped the commercial.
Upset viewers.

Might have to do with the fact that ad-revenue is down 15% at Fox News according to rumours. If true.. then they are desperate for revenue :)

They are desperate; they're selling off 20th Century Fox and their TV and radio interests and sticking with news.

Murdoch is on his way out: the BS finally caught up with him.

The ad is paid for by Tom Steyer and at first he paid $10M to run them but has upped the ante to $20M
Tom Steyer

Environmentalist

Thomas Fahr Steyer is an American billionaire hedge fund manager, philanthropist, environmentalist, progressive activist, and fundraiser. He is notable for being the single largest donor to the Democratic Party, having donated $66.3 million during the 2016 election cycle.

He says his campaign is not related to his political aspirations, but he has hinted at a run for Governor and has also said he hasn't ruled out a run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
He doesn't fair well in polls when up against better known Democrats so perhaps he buying his way into the public eye.

I've been seeing it other places. I don't have cable/satellite so I don't get Fox and I still see it.

On a number of channels, but read it was pulled from Fox.
Heard he did a 10 M buy then added another 10.

FOX News is the network that aired the commercial. Not reported about it. Aired it as a commercial. I was surprised as hell.

I'm not surprised at all Fox News would air this. The heads really don't like Trump. They'll give him air time because of ratings, but other than that they despise the man. A lot of them are Establishment types, both the heads and contributors like Karl Rove. Back in 2015 through the time he dropped out, they were in the tank for Jeb Bush. They practically sang this guy's praises and preached about he could unite the both parties and blah blah blah. They were angry that Trump had taken away all of Bush's thunder when he began to run. I remember when Jeb finally had to drop out because of the lack of delegates he was getting, and I remember Brit Hume looking (not that he doesn't already) and sounding down when Bush made his announcement. Hume then went off on Ted Cruz (not to his face) about how he's a liar, he's not honest, and what have you. After Bush was gone, they looked to Chris Christie, and he dropped out. For a while, they turned to Marco Rubio, and he eventually left. Finally, they put whatever was left of their bets on John Kasich, and dropped out without even getting passed Rubio's delegate count (and Kasich stuck around longer, too, and saw winning Ohio wasn't enough).

I don't like it when news organization heads get on board with a candidate, on one side of the aisle or the other, but, good God, they didn't want to give Trump a fair shake (same with Cruz when he was the only one who could have beat him). Fox News does have conservative anchors on, but as a whole, Fox News is NOT a right wing news organization (more middle of the road than anything, according to the more conservative people who use to be contributors). It's just the other news outlets, like CNN, MSNBC, and ABC News, are so far to the Left that it seems, in comparison, that Fox News appears right wing. So again, I'm not surprised at all that this commercial has shown up on Fox News. If you watch and listen these senior correspondents (that requires actually turning on Fox News and watching), they are very critical of Trump and anyone who's not like Jeb Bush.

I saw it today.

A very earnest sounding Tom Steyer showing restrained but extreme concern about something or other.
Not sure he mentioned what usually causes him great distress ... the weather.

So what has this to do with "FOX news," or did they just report it somewhere?

(EDIT: I see you changed the thread title. )

Anyone can buy air time on just about any channel...if they have enough money. :coffeepap:

It seems that the two things you can count on from most people is the inability to conceptualize small government, and the unsubstantiated belief that Fox News is all right wing all the time.
