In 2015 WOR here in NY started a brand new morning radio show in order to compete with WABCs Imus in the morning. They hired Sports Broadcaster Len Berman and conservative firebrand Todd Schnitt. The witty banter between the two co-hosts was a welcome surprise to me as the two men bickered about the political topics of the day for three hours. I can't imagine listening to them for three hours every morning though. I don't think any radio show did it better. Now, Len and Todd in the Morning has been rebranded to Len Berman in the morning (more emphasis on sports unfortunately) until they find a replacement for Todd.

On FRIDAY's show, SCHNITT's co-host LEN BERMAN said that SCHNITT had left after being unable to come to a financial agreement with the station. SCHNITT's name and likeness have been removed from the station's website and BERMAN is listed as solo for now.

I'm not sure if there is more to the story. Why did they scrape Todd's name completely? Seems like a lot of effort to do that if they are planning to hire a replacement. Is this what usually happens when radio people leave?? I thought there was usually some transition. Like wait two weeks, hire someone, and then change the name. Seems like bad blood between WOR and Todd.

It took a year to get Kelly Ripa a co-host, maybe that scared these people.
