“Nick is one of the people I think who has more knowledge about YouTube as a platform than probably anyone else that I know,” Pettie said.

It is true that the videos that YouTube puts up on it's "trending" page, are selectively put up there. YouTube has a lot of issues at the moment.

I am not sure what the issue is with a private company promoting the content they choose. What am I missing?

That's not even the thing I'm concerned with.

I'm more concerned about the current issue with YouTube's ad system at the moment, and their selective enforcement of their guidelines.

I wouldn't be surprised if conservative-run sites own by private companies favor conservative material. Though I have heard that one is fair and balanced....





Yes, I'm snarking. But come on. Youtube doesn't have any duty to promote everything equally, even if O'Keefe's lie-factory was correct this time.

So...the Mainstream Media is concerned about supposed Russians putting videos on youtube to influence Americans...when they are using youtube's own manipulation techniques to influence Americans. I smell hypocrisy.

Makes me wonder who is influencing Americans more: Liberal media or the Russians.

Oh well, we know the Russians didn't affect our election...and we know the liberal media failed miserably in trying to affect our election. I guess the voters are too smart to fall for all that crap.

Which is Project Veritas and Youtube manipulating their trending pages. Stick to that and you'll be fine. Go off topic and you're likely to get banned from the thread at the very least.
