However, they are only barks from the attack dogs.

The format and creativity are no different nor are they more creative or funny than the racial slurring jokes of the past.

You have have to hate the butt of the joke to appreciate the humor. No hate, no humor. You obviously see the humor in one or both of the genres.
The irony is strong in this post as anyone who visits the "cartoon" section can see. Actual cartoons with actual jokes are the exception. The thread is dominated by hatefuelled memes of quite disturbed violence, mostly supporting Trump. Humour is noticeably absent. Physician heal thy brothers. (and sistern)

Well, the media is constantly telling us that Trump is inciting rage in the minority community by using "dog whistle" words like "all Americans" to reveal his hatred of brown people.

I remember that a sports announcer pretty much had his career ended because he referred to the very happy face of Magic Johnson as a "watermelon smile". He tried to explain that it was an expression from his youth, but that was immediately dismissed.

I think the guy should have gone with the donuts.

You are apparently in the group that hates Trump.

I'm sure you love the jokes.

He seems to be doing a better job at President than the A-holes making the "jokes".

Are there any jokes they tell about Trump that would be funny if they were about Obama?

If they are funny only if Trump is the butt of the joke, they are no different than jokes that were funny only because they rode on the wave of racial slurs recognized as automatic laugh lines.

Might as well be Klan meetings.

Trump provides the material almost everyday.

The situation was not the joke- the hated race member was the joke and the malady or mishap that befell them was seen to be deserved and that is what made the joke.

The Race based jokes involved the inability of the butts of the jokes to restrain their imagined instinctual responses or imagined deeply held desires. The humor depended on the bias and hate held by the audience and the teller to be funny.

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HATE-BASED JOKES INTENDED TO DEMEAN AND DIMINISH MINORITIES AND THE SAME JOKES INTENDED TO DEMEAN AND DIMINISH TRUMP.

Oh for the days of Johnny Carson when he actually could tell a joke that was funny because it was funny.

When will the illegitimate heirs to Carson's legacy figure out that the jokes they tell brand them as the shallow, prejudiced and biased, hate mongers that they claim to despise.

I think they should take a knee during bad jokes.

I assume there is a cartoon section on this site by your post. I'll look for it.

I find that kind of humor to be reprehensible. In school, I was exposed to hate filled prejudice for the first time. Both of my parents raised during the Great Depression and molded by WW2 explained to me in various ways the dangers of this kind of humor. It is an insidious and corrosive insinuation of unspoken understandings into the subconscious of the weak minded.

The best way to make sure that those you hate are hated by all is to just let everyone know that hate is okay. No reason required. Just hate.

    I assume you hate Trump.

You seem to understand that hate diminishes reason and yet you don't account for it in your own thinking.

    This is interesting.
