A really good interview. Spicer seems so much happier now. I wonder how much all of his strong-man character was an act to please the President.

Ideally happy does not come after failing.

As much as we laughed at him, I always felt so bad for him. He seems like a nice guy, but he really did have the worst job in the world. Having to get in front of America every day trying to defend the indefensible will wear on your soul. Not even Trump knows why he does half the things he does, having to explain his reasoning to the press is nearly impossible.

Funny. I never felt that Spicer conveyed a strong-man character. More the opposite, I would have said. 'Couldn't ever really understand how anyone could have given him that job.

He (Spicer) has got to feel so relieved to be out from under. I'm wagering that the job will take a toll on Sanders as well. That left eyebrow has a mind of it's own!

Neither Spicer nor Huckabee-Sanders seems to lie with the ease and grace required to do the job. They just aren't that quick on their feet.

Neither can compare to Josh Earnst, or Jay Carney. Now, those were some accomplished liars!

i would not want that job. only Pence has been any good at it, and he reminds me of Senator Palpatine aspiring to Emperor.

I think he was making the best out of a bad situation, and he can at least take a joke.

Good assessment. It was interesting to hear him talk about the size of the "Inaugural Crowd", and how Trump insisted that he overinflate the numbers. He matter-of-factly said that his position was not to question the president.
