Dave Rubin is a self described liberal and a former co-host at the Young Turks. Even though I disagree with many of Rubin's political views, he's an honest man that I have a great amount of respect and admiration for. He doesn't let politics cloud his moral judgement and engages in civil, respectful dialog with his guests no matter what their views might be. In my opinion, Rubin serves as the model of what political debate and discussion in America should be.

Here's his take on the upcoming Berkeley speech by Ben Shapiro, the way the media is covering it and freedom of speech in general... Personally, I think he is spot on:

Its too bad that the rest of the Young Turks do everything in their power to ruin any good image either one of them can managed to attain.

Rubin has always been one of the most straight laced members of the group, but the others can be so unhinged in their rhetoric that its downright insane to believe either one of them.

I listen to the Rubin Report every week. I wish there were more podcasts like his.

I totally agree. It's refreshing to watch a political interview show where the host is not only courteous and respectful to his guests, but actually goes into every interview open minded and willing to consider political views that differ from his own.
