It's like asking "why is there no chocolate in vanilla pudding". Because then it would be chocolate pudding, which isn't vanilla. News-Entertainment isn't news, it's news-entertainment. It's not about journalistic integrity, it's about selling ads. So it is pointless to ask why there is no journalistic integrity in our News-Entertainment. It's not meant to have it, that's not the point, it's not a focus, it's at best an afterthought.
If you want to attack the News-Entertainment industry as a whole, and say that it doesn't serve us, that the main purpose of a free press is to report the doings and actions of the government to the People such that the People can better control the government, then...well...duh. I've been saying this for years. But you can't just go after CNN, the lot of them do this. From CNN to FoxNews, the entity of our MSM, and even our Conspiracy Media (like Breitbart, InfoWars, and the like) is nothing more than News-Entertainment. Part of this really got kicked off under Clinton and his Telecommunications Act. But it's also fed by us, as a People, because we consume it. The cause of our own doom, in that regards.
I think it's good to go after our News-Entertainment because it is a complete disservice to the Republic. But a lot has to change to get rid of it, and it's not just on the government side of things.
