Fox News’ John Roberts Exits Off-Camera Briefing Early

Like I said: you are wrong.
Say all you want to, that doesn't make you correct.

Now, if you were to demonstrate in an intelligent manner that not having cameras on during the press conferences meets any reasonable definition of censorship, I'd be happy to consider it.

Your moon has set; you need to accept that.

This is due to the action of the "Lil" Dictator in the Oval office. For the last 20 years we've had camera's during the daily White House briefing--and we've had some pretty tough White House Press Secretaries that could take the heat.

If Trump couldn't handle the heat in the White House, he shouldn't have run for the hottest seat in the WORLD.

It results in lower viewer numbers for listening/watching the actual white house communication. Fewer people checking what the White House is saying, and hearing journalists ask the White House questions the White House tries to avoid, and avoid being seen answering.

As though you have to have this explained to you.

Radio/audio is a thing of the past, replaced by video, primarily because people pay more attention to it, and most of our entire news/media network is now built around video.

Next thing you know Trump will be pushing us towards coal for energy independence, jobs, and environmental awareness.

All they show is the Press secretary, so the visual is irrelevant. And if you want to know what they say, listen. The Press has no leg to stand on here, because access has not been denied, only the drama they want to make out of themselves has be eliminated......................equals butthurt.

Sorry you are wrong about the press briefings and cameras!

Flashback: Clinton White House said on-camera briefings weren't 'necessary'

Flashback: Clinton White House said on-camera briefings weren't 'necessary'

Just weeks into the new administration, the former President Bill Clinton's administration decided to turn off the cameras for most of George Stephanopolous' press briefings, just as the Trump administration has.

White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers explained in a March 1993 C-SPAN interview that the White House went with live, on-camera briefings to the press for a few weeks. But she said they stopped because the live briefings weren't "really necessary."

"I think that that was something that we did in the first week or two, I can't remember exactly when we stopped it," Myers said.

It frightens me that 40% of our country approves of what is happening at the White House, as does, it seems, more than 50% of Congress. Don't people understand the importance of the press in ensuring a strong democracy? You can not speak truth to power without a vibrant press.

Frankly, I am suffering from some degree of delusion as a I believed the American system of government was a bit more "bullet proof" in that it would be quick to identify and erratic internal threats. I continue, however, with the hope that with a little time, another 10-15% will come to their senses and do the right thing.... Right now, however, it seems our nation's leaders are a feeble crew, with no sense about right and wrong. Weak people without a moral compass are dangerous.

Sorry for taking your specific comment and responding with a global statement of frustration (and fear)...

How do off-camera briefings denigrate the importance or power of the press?

Apparently you have to redefine words, create new interpretations of the Constitution, and pretend that cameras during press briefings is a sacred thing. So, lots of imagination, outrage and a healthy dose of Trump hatred.

Of course it is sufficient for intelligent, rational people, Moon. I am sorry you don't get it.
I'm done with your unintelligible "NUH UH" babble. Get back to me when you can start making sense and stop being such a partisan puppet.

You post an opinion, then expect me to rebut it with facts. No, that's not how it works.

This is the first time in over 20 years that camera's haven't been allowed in to the daily press briefings. There is a reason for that. A dicator will always eliminate the media first. The Free Press in this country is what keeps this country FREE.

There has never been a President stupid enough to make enemies out of the 3 most powerful agencies in this country. The media, our intelligence agencies, and the DOJ.

The more he calls the media FAKE, the more they will write & report. The more he insults our intelligence agencies, by claiming that Russia is just a "ruse" the more he implicates himself into a coverup and the deeper they will dig. The more he insults and or threatens the DOJ with firing's, the more information they will leak.

Now you know why the Jeff Sessions story was leaked just last week.

They're going to take him down.
