The public just wants negative stories about the President?

Considering the many segments of public society, the public wants a few thing--it wants to be scared silly of the Bogey Man du Jour that the government is protecting us from, and it wants to feel good about other warm and fuzzy stories. Smiles, with nothing to worry about.
