I'm not comparing Trump to Hitler, I'm pointing out the absurdity of bashing media for being negative against the most unorganized, viciously hateful, divisive and possible criminal administration in modern history. Trump's coverage of his fellow Republicans during primaries was 100% negative. Does that mean he hates Republicans or loves the spotlight?

Also, do you want to break down how many of the positive stories about Obama were actually about how we had a black president in office and it was a historic event that transcended partisan politics? Or is this a black and white thing (no pun intended) where we're going to only accept answers that admonish the evil media for their liberal bias?

Although I understand this was supposed to be humorous, Godwin's law states that there must be a comparison to Hitler. I said verbatim "I'm not comparing Trump to Hitler," so the thread must go on until there is a post that compares Trump to Hitler without the aforementioned disqualifying portion of my post. I just can't stand back and allow Godwin's law to be misused when it is such an integral part of our internet.

Carter's helicopter went down. Trump's everything has gone down in flames so far. Sure he might be able to turn some things around, but at this point he is definitely one and done at the very best. 2020 will be a huge year for a moderate if either party can find one.

Sorry, by bringing him into the conversation as a yardstick for bad coverage you invite comparison. You aren't using logic, you are rationalizing your decision to use bad judgment.

Seriously? I was pointing out that bad media coverage isn't proof that the media is biased. Hitler would receive 100% negative coverage (well, probably more like 98%) but that doesn't mean the media is biased, right? That yardstick doesn't sound inappropriate at all for this thread, semantics of Godwin's law aside. Don't you agree with me on that point? It's almost impossible not to.

Nonsense. By bringing Hitler to the conversation you are saying Trump is as deserving of the bad coverage as Hitler is. Again, you are rationalizing. Trump isn't killing anyone, he isn't starting any invasions, etc etc.

Your response is terrible and devoid of logic and yes, its biased. You are letting hyperbole guide your response.

So why did you even bring him up? Because you are inviting the comparison by saying both earned their bad PR. Just because you say you aren't doesn't mean you aren't logically asking for the comparison to be made.

Carter never had a helicopter.

The Presidents "everything" has not gone down in flames. Revealing a dependence on the left's MSM partners for news is something you might want to address.

There is the Supreme Court, the EPA, freezing hiring of Federal workers, etc..

While he his efforts to improve the health and safety of US Citizens and residents has been met by the lefts desire to degrade health and safety, that shouldn't be viewed a going down in flames. It should simply be viewed as the first rounds of a long title fight.

As to 2020, that's a long way off. I would guess you don't want to jump into the same flames lots of prognosticators started when they crashed and burned last November 8.

Don't discount the fallout from the war on democracy the left is currently engaged in.

They are both liars, you will get no argument about that from me. One, though, is your typical lying politician while the other is an impulsive liar who thinks the National Enquirer is a reputable source. I don't stand by Clinton, why do you stand by Trump? And don't say it is because of the media. Lots of people hate the media and Trump.

Seems to me people died on his rescue attempt and that it involved a couple helicopters going down, and yes Trump has pretty much crashed and burned thus far. You like him and that is all well and good, but seating a Justice is the only thing he has been successful at that wasn't some arbitrary executive order to rescind an Obama Executive Order.

I'll be happy to retroactively remove "Hitler" and put in the Bob Dylan album "Self Portrait." It doesn't pack the same punch, but if it makes you happy, it's a perfectly acceptable substitution.
