Donald John Trump's First and Biggest Mistake!

I'm glad (and a bit surprised, honestly!) that you are finally acknowledging the approach the Right took during Obama's two terms in office.

Not so much. The Trump voters spent a good portion of that time giving Congress a majority of Republican representatives. When that had no effect, Trumpsters simply refused to vote for more establishment and now we have President Trump.
 
Trump has played the media so far to his benefit, for the most part. Absolutely. But, it's not infinite. Said benefit is getting less and less, and as time goes by he is exposing himself as the shuckster that he is.

Prior to politics people were always interested in him, but he wasn't that big a deal and they'd eventually go away if he didn't want bad press and became non-cooperative. He deludes himself into thinking that, as President, the same tactic will still work. For the first time in his life, he is in a position where people will stick on him like glue and they won't just go away.

Obama won the 2008 election. Did he get a fair shot? No, Trump ran all over the country telling people that Obama was a secret Muslim born in Kenya. If you want respect you have to be willing to give respect. Trump's entire campaign was based upon being disrespectful and counting on the fact that no publicity is bad publicity. By electing Trump you rewarded viscous attacks and blatant lies. You don't get to complain about anybody else use them going forward.

I never said that, but will say proof reading can give your posts a bit more cred... ;)

My point was trump had a head start toward Yuge buildings and big planes by being born a millionaire. if he had gotten to where he is as the son of a carpenter then perhaps the worship would be worth it... :peace

If the Mainstream Media had the courage, honor and integrity of John Paul Jones...I'd say that was a good thing. But then, if they had all that they wouldn't be taking their stance against Trump.

Please help me understand your position. Just using the time frame from 20JAN on, there have been conflicting positions taken on a wide variety of issues, by both DJT and those who speak on his behalf. If you wanted to only focus on DJT's use of Twitter since the inauguration, you would have to scratch your head. You can't swing a dead feral pig by the tail without hitting a Presidential controversy.

So...you want to know my position about perceived conflicting positions vis a vis Trump and his staff? That stuff doesn't really concern me. I'm more oriented toward results. So far, his results have been pretty good considering the amount of opposition he is getting from the media, Democrats, Republicans who are threatened by him...and, of course, the useful idiots who are influenced by all of those people.

If the MSM was more oriented toward results...instead of looking for how they can make up controversies...they wouldn't be acting the way they are.

Now...that doesn't mean Trump would have easy sailing. He would still have the Democrats and the Republican Establishment types still opposing them, but a media not engaged in blatant opposition would, at least, get him fair reporting.

Usually attributed to PT Barnum, but probably not actually his.

The way Trump deliberately trolls and triggers the media whenever he wants, I say THEY are the suckers.
