Im not a fan of Trump, but let's face it- the Simpsons haven't been funny for the last 20 or so years.

Eh. They have a funny about once a year, still. Better than Family Guy at any rate.

This probably the most credible source the Libbos have.

The Simpsons haven't even been allowed to be watched in my house due to the stupidity of it for as long as its been around. It's on par to South Park, Teletubbies, and Barney. I hate em all.

Oh no no no.
Family Guy over the Simpson's any day.
It's genuinely funny.
Simpson's? Not for a long long time.

Wow. You hate intelligent, insightful satire?

Bummer.

holy **** this show is still on? There was an ep where they got revenge on *Bush I* for his "american families need to be more like the brady bunch and less like the simpsons"

Inc tweet from trump crying about this. Well they've survived 4 other presidents and i'm sure they'll outlast this one

Oh, OK. So you haven't actually watched it. Got it.

Do you always make assumptions? Do you know what it means when you do?

Yes, I have watched them before. I even gave them multiple chances. Each time I regretted it and wished I could get my time wasted back.

Agreed.

Some of that was funny.

But the Simpsons have lost all subtlety.

Instead of suggesting a joke...they now hit you over the head with it.

Definitely a VERY dumbed down show now...sad.

Huh. Suffice it to say that I don't see how anyone could not like them.

Intelligence, subtlety and wit. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like them.

Not bad intro at all. Clever moments.
Hit all the obvious touchstones.
Kinda like rhyming "books" and "crooks" in a Springsteen song trashing Trump.
Doesn't make up for the Simpson's long decline.

The current iteration of Family Guy? Seriously? I don't care about Seth MacFarlane's inside jokes he has with his staff. The Simpsons are still at least relevant.

I guess I can see your point.

But some of the type of edgy thing the Family Guy had always done seemed like what The Simpson's had started to try for.
It didn't work with them.

If you guys want to watch funny cartoons then I suggest you try the Venture Bros, Rick and Morty, and Archer.
