Do you get paid for posting this kind of crap and, if so, how many can you do in an hour?

It is called discussion. I found it interesting.

I appreciate the discussion.

It's not a discussion. It's a link to someone else's material with no discussion regarding why the link was created, what anyone thinks about the information at the link, no context for what anyone might find at the link, etc. It's actually less likely to induce discussion than if you merely posted "Hot Dog" and went away.

Already well documented that Media Matters is little more than a political attack spin machine from the left.

Why Think about the hit job pieces they post? It's little more than a waste of time to do so.

No such thing is documented. They post full quotes and video of conservative media. It is a conservative media watchdog site but they are putting up the VIDEO in context of what is said how is that hit pieces your take is nonsense. So is your Trump quote. Seriously? The man who brought the neo-Nazi alt right into his administration and into the GOP tent is talking about no room for prejudice? The ignorance of that is staggering

Maybe so...but their research is usually spot on and can be verified.

You will soon discover that posting links to certain websites will draw you nothing but scorn and ridicule. If you want to discuss something from a site like media matters you gotta pull the sources they use and make the point yourself. Otherwise your point will be lost in the discussion of why the site you linked to sucks and you will be forever labeled as the guy who links to that site. They will literally disregard any point you make in the future, on anything. constantly attacking your credibility rather than engaging your point is all some people can do here. Best not to give them the opening.

Media Matters for America (MMfA) is a politically progressive[1] media watchdog and lobbying group with a stated mission of "comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media".[2] Set up as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, MMfA was founded in 2004 by journalist and political activist David Brock.[3] Eric E. Burns served as MMfA's president until 2011.[4]

By their own admission they are a "media watchdog and lobbying group", and by their repeated behavior, they are an progressive ideologically driven attack squads lead by their slime ball in chief, Brock, and funded, to a large extent, by the far left billionaires zealot Soros and Lewis.

Their corrections, aren't really corrections, but distortions that favor their ideology, and those of the same ideology, for consumption by those with the same ideology (Ever hear of the liberal progressive echo chamber? Well here it is in spades). Their corrections aren't to further anything but their ideology at the cost and impingement of anyone not of the same ideology.

A fair assessment would be to call them liberal / progressive ideological shock troops. Hell, one of their initiatives is to literally flood the news media with their wonk drones to drone on and on about the liberal / progressive ideology, and to put that spin on every interview possible.

Since its inception in August 2009, the Progressive Talent Initiative, or PTI, has trained nearly 100 pundits who have appeared 800 times on television and radio. Media Matters uses that metric to pitch donors for more contributions, but its leadership believes that the surge of camera-ready liberals has recaptured lost ground in the media wars against conservatives.
. . . .
The primary mission of Media Matters, he said, is to obsessively monitor Fox News and call attention to its distortions. But now it’s moving into the operational phase, transforming from observers to shock troops. The organization, he said, had to “professionalize the training and booking” of a left-leaning counterpoise.

Media Matters Mission statement: "comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media"

Their ‘correcting conservative misinformation’ is little more than using Media Matters as an attack platform against anyone and anything that disagrees with their extreme liberal / progressive agenda and ideology.

In essence, a purveyor and promoter extremist left-wing propaganda.

We tend to display our political bias by the sources we use. Several free online services attempt to rate bias. I suggest you evaluate Media Bias and AllSides. Some on each side of the aisle, this has certainly included me, have subjected a post to ridicule and derision based on the source(s) used.

Who cares...they still do good research. I wouldn't source them directly on DP because of the stigma conservatives like you have put on them...but since their research can be verified it's not hard to find credible sources to post instead.

Yeah, I figured. Honestly it was something I saw, had never thought of, and shared.

I have watched Tucker for years and didn't see this link coming. It made me think, so I shared. Didn't have time to comment so just left the link.

Obviously I regret that.

It is hopelessly partisan so your assertion depends your partisanship.

Providing a fact check to FoxNews was a valuable tool for a lot of people and came at a time when it was sorely needed.

I read the piece and clicked the links, and there wasn't one single example of Carlson having said anything that was racist, or pro-neonazi... Not one!

Then near the bottom of the article, it actually admits that there is no evidence that Carlson embraces their world view. In other words, Media Matters published an article with the intent to smear Tucker Carlson, by implying that he expresses racist, antisemitic views that are ideologically in line with the KKK and neo Nazi's.

And people wonder why nobody takes anything those clowns publish seriously.
