Oooo, if true, Trump is in far bigger trouble than anyone is willing to admit at this point.

So why wouldn’t James Comey want to cut a deal with Rudy Giuliani? For one thing, Giuliani appeared to have been instrumental in sabotaging the FBI during the election by leaking information he had obtained from one of its agents. So it’s unlikely Comey would be willing to give Giuliani any sort of leniency in his current legal troubles, unless his input was crucial to the overall case. And based on tonight’s parallel storyline that arrests in the Trump-Russia scandal could begin as soon as next week (link), the FBI appears to be far enough along that it simply doesn’t need Giuliani’s help.

Mensch then added “First arrests maybe next week” (link). She also referenced the arrest of ten low level mafia figures in New York two weeks ago, who were not Russian, but whose crime family has alleged ties to both Donald Trump and the Russian mafia through Felix Sater...

And of course two days ago the FBI leaked that it’s been surveilling Carter Page since last summer, meaning it has recordings of everyone he conspired with, in what seemed to be a final warning shot to any Trump-Russia conspirators who want to cut a deal before the arrests begin.

So far they've been pretty prescient. Some of his sources have been dead on accurate.

When Trump resigns, I'll remind you of that.

Trump can fire Comey if he wants to do so. However, firing Comey won't prevent any potential Grand Jury hearings, or Indictments, or arrests, or trials, or anything legal. What it could do, however, is give the House the push they need to begin Impeachment hearings if it happens at the same time any potential charges or arrests occur.

All I did was give you a link. I didn't comment. Look at my comment in the other post I quoted you for what I think about this. I have no comment other than the link I gave you about the source you used - which is neither positive or negative from me, it's just a link to facts.

I doubt the GOp would impeach Trump even if he there was a recording of him offering a Russian a million dollars to hack Hillary. Hell, he pretty much did just that on live TV. :lol:

It's all good. I just pointed out that I know Palmer Report is a very biased source which is why I wrote, "if true" in the OP.

I disagree. In fact, if you look back at what I said about Trump early last year, I said then that Trump would be more likely to get Impeached by the House than Hillary would because there would be enough Republicans in the House to bring and vote for Articles of Impeachment, and that there were enough Republicans in the Senate to vote for Conviction and Removal from Office if Trump were charged with Articles of Impeachment in the House. Of course, every single Democrat would vote to Impeach in the House, and vote to Convict and Remove from Office in the Senate. I thought that then, and I still think that now.

Also, with Trump picking Pence for VP, the hard right would be very comfortable voting to Impeach if Trump got caught in Treasonous acts with Russia, since one of their own would be replacing Trump.

The first and last resort of a GOPartisan is to rhetorically shoot the messenger over trump and his cronies.

There's absolutely NO way a GOP House will start impeachment hearings against a GOPresident.

All DEMs can do is work to take back the House (and governors and state legislatures) by coming together .

Maybe, I just don't see him really needing to be in the loop for that. It just seems like way too big of a conspiracy to me. You have long-time U.S. politicians and career Service Members all working together to sell out the country that they served to Russia? That's a lot to swallow.

Americans haven't really had a choice on war since 2013, when they overwhelmingly said no to Congress. It's as if Americans have forgotten we've had an AUMF in the ME for 16 years.

trump is all about daily polls and he's seeing an uptick by dropping bombs. However, the ME is quite minor league compared to the major league move trump's about to make in North Korea .

The ground swell for the DEM candidates coming up in GA and MT is very real. Both candidates are under withering smear attacks by GOP dark money.

DEMs are going to have to do something they haven't done since the midterm of 2006 to win back the House and state offices, come together--GOTV--sustain their enthusiasm .

That must also be coupled with uniting the country against the President, and highlighting his ties to Russia and the danger he poses to the country and the world. They will only do this by bringing together a more enthusiastic base than Trump's. A three-million-plus vote popular victory wasn't enough to stop him, because they stroked the Corporations and Wall Street.

What now that Trump has brought Wall Street and Corporate America in for the cold? How can we trust Corporate Democrats to not capitulate to Trump for the big bucks?
