My answer - NO. Obama didn't lie continuously. You may not have liked what he said, and he espoused political opinions you may have disagreed with, but he did NOT continuously lie. Did you hear Obama making false accusation of George W Bush spying on him? Accusing the media of fake news? Etc. Absolutely NOT. What Trump is doing, is unprecedented, when it comes to lying.

Are you seriously not aware that Obama tried to ban FOX News from the White House Briefing room?

Are you seriously not aware that James Rosen was jailed for reporting?

Are you seriously not aware of Obama's unending attacks against FOX news and anyone else in Media who did not worship him?

As far as lying, the lying never stopped. It was most pronounced in things like the Benghazi Massacre, but it went on and on. Are you seriously not aware of any of this?

Twain had a great way of walking around the stage props and showing what the backside looked like, didn't he?

I think he forecasted hope with the rest of the Huck Finn story.

I still remember my shock when Huck decided that he would be damned rather than abandon Jim. The 60's, the time in which I first read this book, was a time of redefinition and recalibration for me. Probably for the country as well.

In the end, I think all confidence and planning is based on hope. Whether it's Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer or the Connecticut Yankee, Twain seems to always be playing out the impacts of good or bad planning and the effects of well placed or misplaced hope.
