NYU: "What if Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Had Swapped Genders?
A restaging of the presidential debates with an actress playing Trump and an actor playing Clinton yielded surprising results."

Myself, I'd like to see the experiment played out with more than one set of actors. Actor skills might well have some impact on how the messages were received.

Regardless, this one is food for thought (and perhaps debate).

You should read some of the comments the YouTube video has.

... But, I am surprised the trump talk sounds more intelligent & eloquent in a women voice.

Wow. This makes the guy on the left look like some fake slimey politician, a fraud. The woman on the left sound more human, like the voice of the people angry at the slick politicians in their empty suits. If Trump was a woman it would be a landslide. She would be the strong woman fighting the establishment.

Eh doubt it actually matters. The left scalps anyone possible just look at Kellyanne Conway who, regardless of her political affiliation, is undoubtedly a strong woman for her performance.

A lot has to do with charisma and Hillary despite all of her advantages couldn't achieve it. And having said that, I don't thing it's as sexist as some would believe.

The right woman can win. The problem is the men dominate them because they let them, and the media helps.

That certainly alters perceptions.

Trump's words coming from a female sounded much more reasonable and "common sense", while the bluster and over bearing-ness she displayed came off as confident, rather than seeming rude like it did from Trump in the actual debate.

Interesting thought experiment.
