Why Were the 7,000 Antisemitic Incidents Under Obama Largely Ignored?[W:32]

Re: Why Were the 7,000 Antisemitic Incidents Under Obama Largely Ignored?

The media is doing it's best to destroy Trump, by painting him, his supporters and conservatives in general, as anti semites, racists and bigots...

No they are not.. they are just reporting what Trump and his henchmen say and do. Conservative America has a problem with race, and it is being ignored by Conservatives. Is it all Conservatives? of course not, but a sizable noticeable part of American conservatives can be quantified as anti-Semitic, racist or bigot, or a combination of all 3.

You know... the ends justify the means.

Holy hell and fer christssake... quit crying about the mean ol' media and take f'ing responsibility for your choices.

Trump himself is destroying his presidency by acting like an incompetent fool. Sure... a portion of his followers have created the sense that they are "anti semites, racists and bigots", and Trump's defense of (or at least his hesitancy to condemn) those followers for showing their true stripes IS the reason for the media coverage. You lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

But if you guys would quit hyperventilating for a minute or two about how you're being unfairly characterized, and quit whining that every one of you is being colored with a broad brush... then this whole thing would cease to be a story. Other people are sick of hearing about Trump supporters as "anti semites, racists and bigots". At this point the story is mainly fueled by Breitbart and other far right media sources.

What are you talking about?

I'm not a Trump supporter, but I don't know of one damned thing he has ever said or done that would link him to anti-semitism.

Conservative America has a problem with race, and it is being ignored by Conservatives. Is it all Conservatives? of course not, but a sizable noticeable part of American conservatives can be quantified as anti-Semitic, racist or bigot, or a combination of all 3.

Is that why nearly all of the racist incidents reported on by the news media since Trump was elected, have turned out to be fake hate-crimes perpetrated by the left?

Race-card politics has become a way of life for liberals/progressives and the American people are not only aware of it, they're sick to death of it. Ever since you people made it your "bread and butter" talking point whenever anyone didn't agree with Obama, you've lost your political asses. Republicans have taken the Senate, the Congress, the White House, the majority of governorships, and over 1000 seats across the country in state legislators over the last 7 years.

That BS strategy has really paid off well for you people... keep up the good work.

You aren't mad that thousands of attacks on Jews were ignored during Obama's presidency? Partisan much?

Re: Why Were the 7,000 Antisemitic Incidents Under Obama Largely Ignored?

Thats great but.... has nothing to do with me.

Sure it does.

I guess in your world it isnt politically correct to call Trump a racist piece of ****. BTW do you really want the proof of trump being a racist piece of ****? You know it isnt hard to find it.

No if you were to have something to prove it that is different. Problem is that there are those who, when devoid of a cogent argument, they fall back on calling the person an -ist of some kind or another.

Right...if they keep hyping something up then I think they will contribute to it's rise. Like when the media reported on, and freaked out about, Trump receiving a call from Taiwan. Their own reporting caused that to be a bigger issue than it should have been.

Re: Why Were the 7,000 Antisemitic Incidents Under Obama Largely Ignored?

I asserted that the media is exploiting every antisemitic story because Trump has an asshole racist as his top adviser.

I see you are making a claim that many have made and have not actually backed up with facts. Labeling someone with such a despicable title in a lazy and casual manner is reprehensible.

Short of a signed affidavit from Bannon, what would you accept as a fact (rather than attack as "fake news" and insult the poster for posting) that indicated Bannon was an "asshole racist"?

I have to ask because it seems to me that just about every report of things that reflect negatively on Trump is callled "fake news", and if not, the person who pasted it is attacked. I've even seen the short-sighted claim that unless the intelligence community publicly identifies its sources, reports based on those sources are "fake".

What actually counts as a fact, now that Trump is president?

Anyway, where is the text OP coming from? Didn't see a link.

I would think that before calling someone such a loaded and despicable name as racist they would have more to go off of than some supposed quotes from an ex-wife and an out of context one line quote, with no supporting evidence, from the hack site Mother Jones.

I know, I know...those are super high standards and I'm super unreasonable for thinking that doesn't cut it.

Post #12, I forgot to paste it in.

No it doesnt.

The part that you do not understand is that Bannon is Trump's top adviser. Now, you can pretend all that you want that Trump isnt antisemitic, but FFS Bannon will be a bit harder to do.

Why? Because his ex-wife said he said stuff? You realize that Breitbart was packed full of Jews, right?

Palestinians,Syrians,Lebanese and Iraqis are just as Semitic as Jewish people.

Why don't we hear more about acts of terrorism against them?

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

No not because of what his wife said. Instead, its what Bannon says and does that matters.

I suppose this is where you trot out the stories put forward by Breitbart about what their Jewish employees are saying? I dont really believe anything that Breitbart puts out, its all alt-right propaganda. It is no different than those occupiers claiming that they are not far leftists/communists/anarchists etc. oh gee the entire movement is far left or in the alt-rights case, far right and you are here trying to make me believe that they are not racist pieces of ****s? I mean it appears that all of the alt-right is antisemitic, except for Bannon and Breitbart. Seriously do you really believe that the people that you are talking too are that stupid? You probably do dont you? Its just as stupid as trying to sale the Brooklyn bridge or ocean front property in Arizona, no one will actual take you serious when you say **** like that. Bannon is a racist and so is trump because they are part of the alt-right. And the alt-right isnt shy about being racists. But of course Trump/Bannon needs to keep the appearance that they are not. Meanwhile their followers are deep into racism.

OK...I see you wrote a lot of words and you're definitely feeling some big feelings but I'm not tracking Bannon saying antisemitic things outside of claims made by his ex-wife. Do you have an example? I feel like I recall both Bannon and Trump being fairly pro-Israel as well.

I dont really care what you feel or track.

This stuff wasn't covered under Obama. So weird. Kinda like how all the war protests ended when Obama became President.

Further, I believe the press' reporting on this has actually contributed to any increases that may exist. It's like the media is doing it's best to empower racism.

There's been quite the upsurge in these things recently and the level of them go beyond painting someone's door, so that might have a great deal to do with the reports, not to mention the far right racists support for Trump. Your far right Jewish source might have something to do with your opinion as well as this: Anti-Semitic Incidents -- Are Jews Under Growing Threat in the U.S.? | National Review

Check the date on the article...

I gotcha, you can't back up your claims.

Seemed like a pretty fair article. I doesn't attribute anything specific to Trump, but does not rule it out. Also doesn't state much for hard statistics because the author rightly points out we don't have a big enough time period to work off of.

One thing that's on the rise is fake hate crimes, though. There have been many hate crimes, especially the more high profiles ones, that later turns out to be fake or falsely attributed.

Just recently we found out a guy that called in a bunch of bomb threats was a former NPR reporter and a very left-leaning person.

Because people who blame everything in the country or everything in the world on who the President is at the time are ****ing imbeciles.

Yeah, but you made some sort of comment that blamed Obama and acted as though the media ignored what was going on in his term, which is just not the case. With the support from racist groups that Trump got, that kind of behavior is on the radar these days.

And, what's a "fake hate crime"?

I didn't blame Obama, I blamed the media for hyping certain narratives for political gain. They didn't care about antisemitism when Obama was in office, obviously.

Here are fake hate crime examples.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/14/nyregion/manhattan-yasmin-seweid-false-hate-crime.html

Those two incidences are from last year, do you see any going on now?

Yes....I case you missed it there was a far-left news reporter for NPR who called in some bomb threats on Jewish targets in an apparent attempt to frame his ex girlfriend. So that was a real even that happened but it doesn't seem to have been born out of antisemitism, and it wasn't from a Trump support, and it wasn't from a white person.

Only 7000 - there's more than that on Bigotbart in one day.

Really? I wouldn't know as I really only read Breitbart when it comes up in my social media feed and it's something interesting enough to click on. Could you give me over 7,000 instances of antisemitism from Breitbart from today, please?
