Vice President Mike Pence blasts the AP for publishing wife's email address

I agree although Pence's comments about security concerns are just a tab overblown.

There is a security threat associated with being phissed. The radical left has been behaving atrously violent and vindictive toward trump people. Also there is nothing newsworthy about her email address which begs the question of the motivation behind publishing that info.

I wonder how the AP would react to having their family.members email adresses and cell numbers published for.public consumption.

How does publishing her email address pose a security concern? Yes it's annoying and possibly emotionally painful to have strangers send you emails saying nasty things about you and your husband but there is no threat to her physical security.

Are you familiar with identity theft and how Podesta got hacked. Pences wife is a potential target for that. What is the function that posting her adress served? What is newsworthy about it? It was an unnecessary exposure to a potential threat and pence is right to criticize the AP for being that irresponsible.

Look I agree they shouldn't have published her email addy without first verifying that it was no longer in use. (I haven't read the article so I don't know if publishing an unused email address made sense or not) I stated that much. I'm only saying that Pence's response is somewhat overblown.
