Kellyanne Conway Crumbles Under The Weight Of Her Own Lies

Now, I thought they were acting under the orders of some higher ups. When you say "booking themselves" I know they contact the networks, I just never imagined someone would just go off and do that on their own. The Sunday shows should have their guests lined up months ahead of time. The way you're speaking it sounds like Kellyanne is just saying calling people up on a Tuesday and then getting booked that Sunday.

Whatever it's all very strange.

She controls her bookings. She reaches out to them. They talked about it for an hour this morning. It isn't strange - it's always been that way.

She'd be wise to stop doing it until Trump either gives her real information or she's no longer working for him because the longer this goes on, the worse she looks.

I know, but even Jay Carney and Robert Gibbs - press secretaries for POTUS Obama - made mistakes on their bad days and no one ever made a big deal about it. Would you want to be judged as incompetent based on just one interview you gave to someone?

A few days ago, she immediately responded to Hillary's insulting tweet that just said - 3-0 (about the court ruling on immigration guidelines)- by listing PA-WI-MI, the three states that Trump won that Hillary thought she had in the bag. If Huff Post covered that, I missed it. It's when things are totally one-sided that I get upset, Governess, since I despise unfair treatment of both humans and helpless animals by anyone, and I don't care who they are!

Hold the phone. This isn't "unfair" treatment, nor is this judgement of her based off of just this one interview. Kellyanne has been doing this constantly ever since she was hired for the position. Making up lies and contradicting herself in her interviews.

For example, she lied about the "Green Bowl Massacre". She claimed that she used the wrong wording, but then it's found out she's cited the "Bowlling Green Massacre" on numerous different occasions. Hell, she's the one that came up with the term "Alternative Facts" to begin with. And in this interview, she made herself look like a fool.

So no, this isn't unfair treatment of Kellyanne. I'm not going to just dismiss it all as a simple mistake, especially when it keeps happening.

It wasn't based on one interview, Pol. It's been a pattern with her.

Yes her Tweet to Hillary was clever, But that doesn't change the fact that she has made a fool of herself the last couple of weeks, and she's far better than this.

Green Bowl Massacre? You mean Bowling Green Massacre. Green Bowl sounds like something I order for an appetizer at a Chinese restaurant.

Fudge. Now I look like an idiot.

Ah, well. It's about as made up as the Bowling Green Massacre.

I kinda feel bad for her. It must be hard to be in a position where you have to defend the indefensible.

It would be tough, and I thought she was good at running Trumps campaign considering what she had to deal with, but she hasn't done a good job lately. All the mistakes, all the constant lying. It's a tough job but the unforced errors on her part are only making it worse.

She's made a lot of money doing that.

Before she joined Trump:
KELLYANNE CONWAY: Before the victims of his elevated kind of talk, they were unions and they were Democrats, and they were people who were living off the system. But then it looked like it was commuters and everyday people. And I think that's actually something that could hurt Trump in South Carolina and beyond if people start to see that he's not -- he says he's for the little guy, but he's actually built a lot of his businesses on the backs of the little guy and he's a lot of little guys through eminent domain, or through not paying contractors after you’ve built something. The little guys have suffered. [CNN, CNN Newsroom with Carol Costello, 2/10/16]

Those on the right, you can feel free to ignore the biased source. It's elsewhere, but I don't feel like digging.

Kellyann Conway is nearing collapse herself. I don't think that she's going to last much longer in the Trump cabal. She looks worn and awful in this interview as Matt Lauer eviscerates her lying.

Very sad.

Someone in her position needs to be prepared for the questions they absolutely know they will be asked. Must have a hip pocket answer, and must have the courage and fortitude to repeat that answer twice and then say something like, "I have answered that question twice, and that's all I am prepared to say about that."

I'm sure the Left will be delighted when she resigns.

Well, she wasn't drafted, she volunteered and gets a rather nice paycheck.

She has enough political experience to know what horse she was saddling to ride.

No tears for her here, ya lay down with a dog, ya just might get flea-bit.

there are more but ya get the idea.... ;)

As opposite to the anuslicking, puffball questions I've seen him throw at Hillary.

Lol, deflect deflect deflect. You're going to get tired of this soon right? Hillary lost. You're guy won. Live with your choices like a big boy.

First, if both times she tells a lie, or 'alt-facts' the press will continue to ask. the people will continue to ask. She will still have her lies played on the air and the questions will be asked to the American People (that's the part Trump doesn't get all the press really needs is the false sound bite and then the rebuttal presented showing the real facts)

Second, the 'Left' wants her to stay, she is election gold and the gift that keeps on giving- you don't think every Dem campaign has the 'alternate facts' sound bite loaded (and eager for more)???

Third, the late night comedy crowd will shed real tears the day she steps down. Their skits write themselves... :peace

It's not about Conway. It's about the most dishonest administration in modern american history lying about everything they can get away with. Conway is just a face they have put on it. Personally I hope they leave her on. She's doing such a bad job and giving us ammunition like "alternative facts". She's becoming quite useful.

Greetings, tres borrachos. :2wave:

I stand corrected. :peace: Perhaps I'd better pay closer attention to what's happening, but all the negativity is getting to me and I'm having a difficult time trying to make sense of what is occurring in this Country. The election can't be undone, so what do people want to see that's not happening?

Lauer did a good job. She looked absolutely miserable.

I think her tube of lipstick to put on the pig is running out. But to give her credit, I have been amazed at how jumbo-sized it has been.

Yeah, that was my reaction too to Mag's post. The left doesn't want her to step down. She's more valuable to the left as long as she stays in that job that she is if she joins a respectable team. She's a talking point. The left doesn't want her to go. They want her to stay so she keeps making this administration look bad.

Hi Pol, I think this week has been really bad for Trump, I mean, like possible permanent damage bad. I'm not sure what he can do to undo this. But then again this is politics, and it changes by the hour lately. This will be front page news until something else happens to knock it off.

Greetings, The Governess. :2wave:

She is a professional, so what has happened that has changed her behavior? Is the job not what she thought it would be or something? Weird....

Oh the election can be modified, Trump is not above the laws of the Republic, like Presidents Nixon and Clinton found out. I can see many on BOTH sides of the aisle wouldn't mind seeing Trump go if Pence takes over. I think many saw the Supreme Court nominations more important than Trump in the Oval office (Trump used that in his campaign- don't have to like him just don't give the Dems the chance to nominate a justice.)

I think many would like the above more than more of Trump's lies... ;)

Look at her comments about Trump when she was running Cruz's campaign - now compare her comments since she became Trump's paid shrill/liar. She talks out both sides of her mouth through that pasted on fake smile of hers. Trump and Conway deserve each other - two peas in a pod - one will lie and the other will swear to it or present it as an alternative fact. ;)

Yea. And it's not her fault, it's the presidents fault. According to all kinds of journalists, Conway isn't in any of the meetings at the whitehouse. She doesn't get the talking points, she doesn't get the latest info etc. Why on earth would you keep someone on the payroll as a spokesperson in the media and then not give them any info?
