FOX News - Leading the defense of the First Amendment

First of all, it's a known fact that people are going to gravitate to the news source which supports their ideology, Liberals to MSNBC, Conservatives to FOX News, etc, etc. But when an attempt is made to smear them all with accusations of "fake news", even when the news consists of actual facts, there are no enemies amongst news organizations. They will circle the wagons and fight back together against lies. A case in point is FOX News itself. The Trump administration is making an attempt to destroy accurate reporting, and turn media into propaganda lap dogs. Luckily for us, we live in America, where a Soviet style media system is abhorrent, and which will fought against tooth and nail. Despite the biases of the different networks towards either Liberal or Conservative direction, they all realize that we are Americans first, and this should transcend all party lines. The way to defeat the lies of Donald Trump, and convince Conservatives won't be the Liberal media, which Conservatives will never trust. It will be the Conservative media.

The war for the very soul of the First Amendment is on, and FOX News is leading the charge. Enjoy this salvo. It is one of many more to come. The Donald has gone too far with his smear campaign against the media, and now there will be hell to pay for it. Once the war is over, FOX and CNN will once again be ideological enemies, and they have always been. Bur for now, they will band together on issues they have in common, such as truthful reporting on the crap the Trump administration is attempting to shove down the throats of Americans.

Kick his ass, FOX News, and thank you for your real patriotism, and willingness to defend America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Well as we know, the only real facts are the "alternative" ones.
 
So one show on Fox.. well one person is standing up to the Fuhrer and his goons.. big wupti do. Sean Hannity pushes Trumps lies constantly, and lets not forget the Trump goons that Fox News has on staff...

Chances are that Murdoch, another Trump goon, will simply fire Shep Smith and others speaking the truth.. would not be the first time it had happened.
 
How, exactly, does calling out certain media institutions for very clearly being in bed with one particular agenda and political party over all others (especially when they go out of their way to prove it each and every day, with self-righteous gusto) endanger the First Amendment? I'm honestly curious.

The Obama Administration was rather blatant in its disdain for Fox News and Talk Radio. It also made a very obvious point of limiting journalists from such sources access to the President.

The Left never seemed to have a problem with that.

Over the many years I have watch national news on various networks, imo the news does more commenting rather than reporting the know "facts". It can present itself in the way they edit tapes or recordings, speculation on outcomes, etc. I do not believe news networks fact check as much as they use to do. It is all in a rush to grab the headline and viewership.

Take some of the immigration stories of late. In AZ a mother was deported this month. She was convicted of ID theft and illegally entering the country. The courts a few years back determined she should be deported. That was not on the last administration priority. So she was release and not deported.

The news stories don't concentrate on the illegal part as much as the mother is torn apart from her kids. This playing on the emotional part of how bad the US is in deporting her.

Yes, all news stations slant the news to whatever political lean they support.

Bannon and Trump are fascists at heart. They want to discredit the media. So, their voices are the Supreme Truth of the Land. They're defunding scientific departments and censoring what science is allowed to say to the public. You know, because we can't have those pesky scientists showing the public that we're full of s***. What's next, rewriting the history books to show that Trump won a sweeping electoral, popular, and spiritual victory in the 2016 elections?

Net Neutrality is next. Calling all partisan stooges, right wing hacks, left wing extremists, get your s*** together and bury the hatchet before they come for our fair internet. Trump's pick for the FCC has a handgun pointed at the Internet's head.

From what I've read, Shepard Smith is one of the straight-shooters at Fox.

While I despise Fox News in general, Shep Smith is among the best of any of the networks.
