Trump used this MSM as a tool to get elected. He's not in the best position to use them at this time. Campaigns and lies are the de riguer of politics, but now he is President and everything he says and does is double checked and fodder for misinterpretation or illiteration. Trump talks a lot. That'll change soon enough. He nas lots of NWO enemies in the Press.

Well thanks to the media there are several people on this forum who are not informed but like to think they are.

The EO over the halt of visas, refugees and travel from a handful of countries for 120 days was following the assessment of the Obama administration that these countries posed a threat to the U.S. for harboring terrorists and training them. The threat was also heightened when it was exposed that terrorists were posing as refugees.

A bill in the House that was co-sponsored by several Democrats addressed this very issue. It passed with bi-partisan support. It died in the Senate thanks to the Democrats playing politics.

There is nothing unconstitutional with the EO. It not only follows the legislation that the House passed but the EO was vetted several times by different agencies where wording corrections were made. General Kelly verified that today in a presser and shredded those who were trying to equate this as a ban on Muslims.

“This is not, I repeat not a ban on Muslims,” Secretary Kelly said of the executive order.*“The Homeland Security mission is to safeguard the American people, our homeland, our values, and religious liberty is one of our most fundamental and treasured values.”

Now the press is going after the Trump administration over the use of the word "ban". Well the Trump administration is going to have to get one up on this media and choose their words with discretion because the media who are still in shock that Hillary didn't win is out for every dang gotcha they can muster.

I have to agree. This EO was not a ban but a delay to change procedures in visa, green card and asylum seeker vetting. Yet, I can't even count the number of times I heard ban used over and over on Tapper's show on CNN and that's just misleading as hell. I cannot believe Tapper doesn't have the facts at his disposal regarding what this EO does, he, and his producers and writers, are choosing to be biased and use "alternative facts".

I agree and it is unfortunate. But it is what it is and the Trump administration will have to be very careful of their wording especially Trump in his tweets in the future because they are out to get him plain and simple. They have made that perfectly clear. They spend more time on gottcha than the basic truths.

The elitists in Manhattan don't accept him (notice all the anti-Trump protests in NYC).
The elitists on the East coast and West coast don't accept him (yes more anti-Trump protests).
The elitists in the media attack him at every turn.

If by "hatchet job" you mean just reporting everything Trump does and says then boo-hoo. Trump brings it on himself, behaving like a neanderthal, man-baby. Examples are whining about the reporting of his inaugural attendance and claiming, with no evidence that 5 million people illegally voted for HRC because he can't face facts that he's unpopular.

Banning travel from poor Muslim countries that have never exported terrorism. He deserves all the bad press he gets.

This is a national security issue. The Executive Branch is primarily in charge of national security. Congress can write laws to bolster or hinder the Executives ability to engage in national Security. The Supreme Court determines whether such things go too far or is otherwise unconstitutional.

In this case, the system of cheques and balances works. The judge issued an edict that put a stop/slow down to the executive branch. Be that as it may, no laws have or are being written by the Executive branch.

Of all the elite establishment politicians in the GOP primary, which one actually spoke to, addressed the concerns of, and resonated with, the forgotten voters?

Of the presidential candidates, which one actually spoke to, addressed the concerns of, and resonated with, the forgotten voters?

Those are the connection to the common people that none of the others could make, or even tried to make.

Many self-described 'libertarians' on this forum in recent years have promoted neoconservative policies and authoritarian actions against those they consider leftists. As I said in another thread, the term is in vogue and most of them don't even know the first thing about libertarianism, let alone its history.

It is for the Advertising. These advertisers also Lobby Congress and we are entertained. Our emotions are created and then validated.

And you quote the Constitution? Congress can't stop it. Nor do they want to. They are also manipulating us for votes.

We the People are not Congress, so our freedom to speak the truth is not abridged.

I too was drawn to Kasich, his content, his positions, his empathy and reason. I voted for him in the primary.
But I'd be damned if I was going to vote someone as corrupt as Hillary to POTUS, and that kinda forced my hand.
