Never change, Vox.

Wait Star Wars, is about war?

I think I'm gonna have to call bull**** on that

Yeah, I never once picked up on that at any time in the last 40 years.

Vox has always had their heads up their asses.... one of it's founders is the absolute master at head up ass tactics, possibly one of the top 5 in the entire world.

He's the one that claimed the Constitution is just too difficult to understand because it was written over a 100 years ago.

The amount of stupid that Vox publishes is truly amazing.

Those damn Nemoidians.

Wrong franchise.

But I'm sure Vox will get around to discovering that one's about trekking through the stars before too long.

Also from Vox:

The suggestion that Rogue One needs a “strong and vigorous” male lead is ridiculous
Rogue One stars a pivotal, female Star Wars rebel. One critic wishes she had manlier men to help
The suggestion that Rogue One needs a ?strong and vigorous? male lead is ridiculous - Vox

Mocking the complaining about Disney using Star Wars to promote their UP WITH WOMEN political agenda is exactly what I would expect from VOX.

Looking at this movie — or any movie — through this lens is, to be blunt, gross. There’s no intrinsic merit in including aggressive men in a story, nor does entertainment need male leads to be worthwhile. Suggesting otherwise is a ridiculous oversimplification, not to mention a weirdly retro argument to make about a war epic set in space.

And let’s be real: The Star Wars franchise isn’t exactly starving for swashbuckling male leads whose personalities coast on swagger. Rogue One managing to avoid that cliché shouldn’t be counted as a strike against it.

And all this time I thought it was about the taxation of trade routes.

No, you misunderstand "The Phantom Menace". That part is only talking about how we get INTO WAR when finance and economics are the cause, but it's still about war all the same.

That people are generally stupid and need things spoon-fed to them like cough medicine is the whole premise behind "explanatory journalism." Which is what makes it so hilarious that Vox's history of oblivious head-smackers is so plentiful.

The thing is, they think people are stupid in exactly the same way teenagers and early-20-somethings famously think adults are stupid.

I was being sarcastic.

You misunderstood her post.

The Alderaan system was not zoned for a residential planet

Now you have me thinking of HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY.

Now, while it's all good fun to laugh at rag publications and people who miss obvious jokes, I do want to note that the article does in fact recognize that Star Wars is about war.

"The unifying theme of Rogue One is simple: People die in wars. If the Star Wars saga is about a war between freedom and tyranny, then a lot of people are going to die fighting that war. hose on the side of good are going to make questionable decisions. Those on the side of evil are sometimes just doing their jobs but will get their lives snuffed out anyway."

The main flaw of the article is that it over psycho-analyzes what has always been a relatively shallow if entertaining franchise.

That just makes it funnier.

Last time I checked from the trailer(s), Jyn had more than enough strong male characters to aid her in her mission.

Whew. Good thing, because we can't have too many people with vaginas leading the good fight. /snark
