The, "fake news", strategy is going to blow up in their faces.

One of the websites The Washington Post labeled “fake news” in a November story demanded a retraction and threatened the paper with a defamation lawsuit in a demand letter Sunday.

A lawyer for Naked Capitalism accuses WaPo of running a debunked list of “fake news” sites in the “sensational” story compiled by a dubious team of researchers, without substantiating their claims or giving Naked Capitalism a chance to respond to the allegation. The Washington Post’s actions constitute defamation, the lawyer writes in the letter published Monday

Doesn't sound good for WaPo. Looks like they may have been a little over zealous in their participation with the "Hillary lost for this reason, and not because she was out of touch with the voters" mantra.

Not to say that fake news is not bad, but it sure looks like WaPo may be guilty of printing fake news themselves by listing this web site's name.

I imagine the irony will be lost on a lot of folks, however.

i trust wapo. it's a magnificent newspaper. they took down nixon. maybe trump next.

You trust WaPo and you trust your government to tell you the truth. Surely, you are a man of the times.

That's a bit of a problem, considering what WaPo has become.

To bring anyone down, first they have to report the truth, which every rational mind has seen is not a mission or standard it embraces.

You can see the establishment, corporatist class regrouping. While CNN called the car and knife attack a "mass shooting" and ran with that for hrs. they want to use the "guise" of "fake news" to silence opposing viewpoints.

It's not going to work, and it's only going to further alienate the establishment from we the peoples
