Company refuses to do business with trump supporters

Was it gay people who flocked to Chik-A-Fil after the CEO said he didn't like them? Probably not.

Did gay people go to Chik-A-Fil at the same rate after that died down? Probably not.

(Also, it's easier to use just four letters if you want to say DERP)
It?s Time For Gays To Forgive Chick-fil-A - The Daily Beast

Actually...kinda it was...yes. I even remember more than a few on this site openly declaring their intent to keep right on going to Chik Fil A for their chicken and especially peach shakes. What you might find just plain ol unbelievable is that a lot of gay people are smarter than those that organized the boycott, recognize they can disagree with someone without being a douchebag about it, that supporting traditional marriage does not necessarily equate to homophobia and gay bashing, and that shockingly...there are just as many people on the left that support traditional marriage as the right and yes, even in the name of their religious belief.

Yes...you can get an 'amen' for that.

Amen!

I know and employee quite a few people from the LGBT community, none of them quit going to the chicken chain or participated in the doomed boycott. As one of my managers said, I'm supposed to quit buying the best (most healthy) salads of any fast food chain because the owner is southern baptist? I don't think so! The disastrous Chic Fil-A boycott came just after a rapid series of so called 'victories' for the LGBT activist, most notably getting the founder and CEO of Mozilla to stupidly quit his own company because he too had donated to pro-family groups. Or as the activist in question like to call them, anti-gay groups. Pubic reaction to the Mozilla situation began to tip the scales away from in favor of the activist and by the time they rolled out their chicken chain boycott, the public at large voted and demonstrated en masse what they thought of these boycotts: They gave the chicken chain it's most profitable single day total in the company's history.

In retaliation the now more angered LGBT activist then announced a second boycott of Chic Fil-A, only this time it was to be a 'kiss-off' that would see LGBT couples descending upon the chicken chain where they would snog with each other in proud PDA that was somehow going to really show those evil chicken purveyors what is what. This second boycott was even more disastrous than the first, with only a few hundred PDA snoggers showing up nationwide.

Sadly...MOST of the outrage and upset was ginned up over lies and misrepresentations of Cathy's actual words. Not that the facts have ever stopped leftists bent on their cause. What was MOST comical was watching people **** themselves over Cathy's comments (or rather-the lies they were spoon fed and regurgitated over Cathy's comments) regarding the support of traditional marriage then twisting themselves into knots trying to excuse and justify democrats support of traditional marriage.

Okay, here's something that may bring us all together.
It was on Tucker Carlson's show last night and it was the most pompous full-of-himself self-congratulating human possibly ever ... and I don't mean Tucker.
You've got to watch this ... he was the first guest.

TRUMP TRANSITION: NEW APPOINTMENTS - Tucker Carlson ... - Bing video

Am I right? Are we all on board with this?
Happy Thanksgiving.

A baker is force to sell cakes to gay people, but this guy isn't forced to do business with Trump supporters.

Homosexuals citizens count for more than political citizens.... ??

Homosexuals citizens count for more than political citizens.... ??
Thats because homosexuals and gay marriage are specifically addressed in the Constitution.

No...wait......

Yep, you must have an officially state recognized protected trait to get such "equal" state protection. ;)

Yip I made direct reference to the mis-characterization of Cathy's words earlier. ;)

Can you cite a SINGLE example of a business not selling pizzas to gays? Or for that matter not selling flowers to gays or baked goods to gays?
I can name a certain clerk who did not wish to give a marriage license to gays.

Indeed. Now THAT is a comparable example. The pizza business example is a fail. The bakery and florist examples are fail. Chik Fil A is a fail. But the Kentucky clerk is not. Now...what was your position on that clerk not issuing licenses to homosexuals for marriage?

(And on a side note...she is still in office and all suits have been dropped. The change in the law satisfied the religious accommodation she sought. Everyone is happy.)

My opinion is that she should have issued the license.

You can probably guess that i don't agree with any version of their comments. But i had chic-fil-a just yesterday. It was good.

If i were to stop doing business with anyone i disagree with politically, i'd have to be a hermit. So i won't participate in this grandstanding, myself, but i don't generally care what other people freely choose to do, either.

Not comparable. She is a public servant tasked with performing a government function.

Fine. Blow that comparison out of the water(wait...who WAS it that brought her up????). Great. Now we've GOT no comparison and the guy in the OP is just back to being a douchebag.

Careful what you wish for.

My point is that all you Cons are now bleating like the sheep you are about "tolerance" when it goes against you.

The difference is that conservatives don't give a **** about this guy. They will go somewhere else.

They are not going to file a civil suit against the guy for hundreds of thousands of dollars because of this.

I guess Cons and Republican only preach 'rights' and the free market businesses when it involves gays and minorities. As soon as it involves people from the other side of the aisle exercising their rights then they get all pissed off.

Who is forcing this guy to do business with anyone?

The guy that wont do business with Trump; I saw him on Tucker Carlson. He seemed like a pretty with-it guy. Intelligent, what not...He is totally within his rights (at least he should be) to decide that he does, or does not, want to do business with anyone, for any reason. That said, the same should apply to everyone. With our modern day society, the way it is, bigots, misogynists, racists, and xenophobes are not long for this world, but a conservative and limited approach to government is something that should be protected.
