One liberal journalist seems to get it.

I have to laugh at Trump voters that talk about civility.

Do you remember who you voted for?

Even if you were right, and you are not, two wrongs dont make a right, so you are still wrong.

You mean you have to laugh at "president elect" Trump supporters. Enjoy!

Liberals have always been smug. After this election, now they're known as the Party of Hate.

Humans are smug, some of them. Party affiliation does not cause smugness, but being in positions of power certainly can.

No, that's not who "gets" it.

The media person who "gets" it was Stephen Bannon. He devoted his entire news org. to trying to get Trump elected, and Trump has now rewarded his lapdog with the post of "chief strategist and senior counselor."

And yet the Trump bots are still whining about left media's bias. If even one cell of your bodies opposes hypocrisy, then you should be outraged at the blatant media favoratism of Breitbart and the blatant nepotism in appointing Bannon.

I'm doubtful that the author will remain introspective very long but, for now, he gets it. This hits the nail on the head for why Trump was able to tap into a particular nerve. I'll say that this doesn't just stop with journalists but can be broadly applied, like here on DP, for example.

Commentary: The unbearable smugness of the press - CBS News

" Had Hillary Clinton won, there’s be a winking “we did it” feeling in the press, a sense that we were brave and called Trump a liar and saved the republic."

But Trump won, there was a "we did it" winking feeling in the conservative press, and in fact your man just appointed the head of an entire conservative media outlet to a big position on his staff.

Why doesn't that bother you? Why is it only bias in supposed "liberal" media that bothers you?

Are you comparing a website to the MSMs and cable news?
