Did anyone else catch this last night? I'm in a hotel and with limited choices watched Megyn instead of the Series. I can't believe how low Gingrich has fallen. Everyone associated with Trump has become a caricature.

Gingrich: "You are fascinated with sex, and you don't care about public policy."

Kelly: "Me, really?"


Gingrich: "That's what I get out of watching you tonight."

Kelly: "You know, Mr. Speaker, I'm not fascinated by sex, but I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we're getting in the Oval Office ..."

Gingrich: "You want a comment on whether the Clinton ticket has a relationship to a sexual predator? ... I want to hear you use the words 'Bill Clinton, sexual predator.' I dare you. Say 'Bill Clinton, sexual predator.'"

At the end of the segment, Kelly signed off with this: "We're going to have to leave it at that, and you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them, Mr. Speaker."

Gingrich responded: "And you, too. You, too."

Obviously Newt Gingrich is totally in the right here. That sex-crazed bitch doesn't know what she's talkin' about.
 
The sound bites floated by the obsessed have become so common and so frequent, they belong on the comedy channel.

I don't like Gingrich, but his statement hammered the nail. Yet, the obsessed were so focused on their obsession, it goes completely over their heads.

Has the media allowed discussion on policy, or has it been directing opinion by an avalanche of out of context sound bites and click bate, demanding a response or else?

The comments made by NBCNews about this mess between Megyn Kelly and Newt Gingrich seem accurate.

Trump has a rich history of going after people, making it personal, and every so often making it appear misogynistic. Now that campaign Trump is still running into issues with women (and his history with them) we have Gingrich defending Trump and seemingly upset that this campaign has played out like this. While I do not always agree with Nicole Wallace, I suspect she was right to say "(this) crystallizes everything that is wrong with Trump's campaign."

Trump supporters are making an even bigger mistake than going with Trump, they are upset when his history... his words... are brought up. And like Newt Gingrich, they can bring up Bill Clinton all they would like and it *still* does not remove the things that Trump said and in some cases is being accused of doing.

This election will end up in the history books, and for all the wrong reasons.

Nobody can ignore Gingrich. He's embarrassing himself, but so are all Trump surrogates. That's what happens when you hitch your wagon to a low class crass boor.

You know, I did not even think about that aspect but it is worth bringing up on a debate about "sexual predator" but really more about family values social conservatism.

Newt Gingrich went from wife #1 Jacqueline Battley, to wife #2 Marianne Ginther, and to wife #3 Callista Bisek each time finding the new one and having an affair with them while still married to the previous one. And like Trump, there is plenty of accusation of all sorts of activity throughout up to roughly the period of his 3rd marriage.

What a damn mess.

But I do agree with Gingrich on one thing, there are two alternative universes.

One is REALITY which is the realm we occupy, and the other is Trump's La-La Denial Land where the Trumpettes gather and deny the facts of reality and refuse to acknowledge the water filing the sinking ship that is the S.S Donald Trump.

He never stays on the issues because gossipy talk is where he does best. When it comes to anything policy wise he is absolute garbage.

The media hasn't been interested in a discussion of issues. Not since the beginning.

Did they focus on the issue of illegal immigration, or did they jump on the bandwagon of lies about Trump calling, to quote them, "Mexican Immigrants are rapists" - something Trump never said.

I don't need any further confirmation the minions are easily directed.

However, others may still need some proof, so this thread does accomplish something.
 
Just watched the whole video. My favorite part was when Newt Gingrich essentially accused Fox News of bias in supporting Hillary Clinton. What a tool.

I thought Megyn Kelly showed remarkable restraint in not calling him a giant jackass. I doubt I could have such restraint, especially given the Gingrich's own history with women.

Is that time scale correct? If those networks had spent an equal amount of time talking about Hillary defending her pervert of a husband as much as they have about Trumps pervertedness do you think that she would be doing as well as she is in the polls? In fact, do you think that if those networks had spent an equal amount of time on both candidates period, do you think that either of them would have made it to where they are today?

I know that people on this forum LOVE to blame Trump for not only his idiocy (rightfully) but they also LOVE to make the claim that if the GOP had put forth someone other than Trump then Hillary wouldn't be "becoming President on election day". Always failing to acknowledge that it was just as much the Libs fault in her getting to where she is now as it is the Con's fault for letting Trump get as far as he has. Indeed we wouldn't be having as "close" a race as we are, whether you admit that its close or not, if EITHER side had put up someone other than who they put up.
