Voters See Debate Moderators Giving Clinton A Helping Hand

Uh, yeah, didn't I say that already? Wait, let me get my last post just to make sure.

Here is my last post:

Yep, I already said that.

You didn't specify "entire" whereas i did.

Then you seriously think that Breitbart and Fox News are left-biased media sources ??

See post #20. There are literally thousands and thousands of examples, and there's nothing vague at all about any of 'em.

You literally haven't cited a single specific example.

You came up with two out of hundreds. Compile a list of all the media outlets and specify if you think they are left or right leaning and get back to me.

Nope. The media's bias varies depending on which news outlet you tune into.

I know, i thought this was common knowledge, but here we go again with this conspiracy theory that the entire media is left (left of what ?).

I asked you specifically about the ENTIRE media. You confirmed. Now you're claiming that the entire media is NOT biased to the left ?

Well, but are we talking about just only mainstream news sources, or the media in general?

True. If you're looking for affirmation, you'll tune into one that reflects your political opinions. If you want indigestion, you tune in to the opposite. I prefer to read, although I'll probably watch tonight. There is football on, however, so it's a toss up. Which is more important? That's a toughie. I could switch back and forth. Or, I could simply fire up two devices and watch them both with one eye. I'll probably get confused. Hillary's got a first down, but Trump's defense is stiffening - something like that.

Hell, I don't know. It depends on where he moves the goal posts to.

Voters See Debate Moderators Giving Clinton A Helping Hand - Rasmussen Reports™

This poll shows that the public opinion pretty much conflicts with the idea that debate moderators aren't bias.

Debate moderators are supposed to pose topics for discussion, monitor the clock, and then STFU.

When on of the moderators wants to run in the primary and then get a major political party's nomination, then they can become a participant in the debate and give their opinion, or describe what they think the "facts" actually are. Candy Crowley was wrong when she tried to "fact check" Romney in the 2012 debate she "moderated" and what she said was inaccurate as well. She wasn't on the ballot, and she doesn't get a voice as to what is or is not accurate. That's the responsibility and sole right of the two candidates.

Again, the moderator should tell the candidates what the topic of discussion is, monitor the clock, and STFU.

I didn't specify, you even said so. Do I need to get that post for you too?

The Commission for Presidential Debate agrees with you. That is why they hammered Candy Crowley in the last debates. Because of her asshattery they were talking about coming up with even more restrictive rules for moderators.

I'll give old Lester credit if he manages to not put his finger on the scale here. I expect he'll slip his thumb on there at some point after the treatment Lauer received for even daring to ask Hillary about her email problem. I imagine Trump will call Lester out for that. It's right up his alley. Should be fun.

He was already warned by the left leaning media with the treatment that Matt got for the town hall. That wasn't even a debate.

Really, you think that the entire media is biased to the left ??

Nope. The media's bias varies depending on which news outlet you tune into.

The majority of the media has been left biased for decades. There are plenty of surveys done by Media Research Center, PEW Research Center, Gallup, lots of Universities, LA Times, NY Times and many many other sources.
Surveys have been done for at least 40 years, Media people during that time have identified as liberal and democrat at a minimum of double the percentage that the general population and as much as 5 times as much in more recent polls.
The more national./large the media company the greater the discrepancy, the elites among the media the greater the discrepancy. Also in a few PEW polls about 2/3s of those media people surveyed ( reporters, anchors, producers etc etc ) said that their ideology affected how they reported the news.
Also in surveys media journalists view the media as ethical ( 95% ) but view politicians as unethical (56%) quite different than the general populace who view media and politicians at about the same percentage.

They damn sure need to do something. It's hard enough just trying to watch "the news" without getting sick from the political BS spin. When I watch a debate between candidates, I damn sure don't want to hear from the guy that's supposed to only ring the bell at ringside.

I never watch the news. At night I come downstairs and read my news. The wife stays upstairs and watches the talking heads, then tells me about what pissed her off watching the talking heads when I go up to get ice cream.

They should let the moderator ask the question, and then immediately put a wooden clothes pin on the moderator's tongue. Keep it there until it's time for the next question.

That sounds like a good plan.
