Greta Leaves Fox News

Wow. One rarely sees someone who doesn't read or follow their own words. I'll try to help you out.

You said : "No, it's Fox News finally coming apart. "

Then you said : "Their ratings are already in the toilet and this scandal just shows what they're really made of and have been right from the beginning."

Then, you posted a link that shows Fox News has great ratings, and their ratings are growing; all the while, claiming the article proves they are not doing well. (look up irony)

Now you want to move the goal post by saying you were talking about broadcast ratings. Here is some news for you Fox News is a cable channel, they have no broadcast presence or ratings.
Therefore, their broadcast ratings cannot be in the tank; they don't exist.

If you need more help understanding things, feel free to ask for additional help.

No, I posted a link that shows that Fox News has lousy ratings.

Look again.

Yes sir, I looked again. It still says the same thing. That Fox News is doing great and getting better. Let me show you the quote from your own article again.

When it comes to cable, Twenty-First Century Fox is the big winner. Led by Fox News Channel’s 21 percent year-over-year ratings gain, Fox’s cable networks are averaging an 8 percent year-over-year ratings gain in 2016.

It is true that English is my second language, but I am pretty sure "winner" is not another word for lousy. What does winner mean in your language?

Seriously.... Do you bother looking at the links that you think support your position?

I guess you are too busy pushing the goal post around to bother reading your own links.

cable - cable - ratings!

Definitely. If they actually set their huge egos aside and worked together to build a news social platform, people would flock to it. They even have the technology to air broadcasts simultaneously like a netflix type deal. All they would have to sell is a News stick and people like me would buy it! That would also get me to cut the cord for good. This is the reason the internet is such a bad place to get news, others had to fill the void cause all they care about is ratings. The drawback to internet news EG ClickBait and Conspiracy Theories

I already cut the cord. Paying $100 a month was just to watch FOX and the History Channel was just to much. I was delighted to find that any show I used to watch on cable was usually available online for free. Most FOX shows are on YouTube within an hour after their air time.

I have the same skepticism of ClickBait as you. The problem is most of these Conspiracy Theories keep getting proven true, Hillary's poor health is the latest example.

If I cut the cord I'd be paying more for my subscription channels and to double my internet speed would cost the same amount I am paying for both cable/internet right now. So I'd rather just keep it. Plus, I'm a millennial and I need instant gratification!

cable - cable - ratings!
I have no idea what you are trying to say. Please explain.

I got this from a couple of Infowars pod cast commentators a couple of months ago. Usually I take what they say with a grain of salt until I see other confirmation. But watching FOX recently I'm getting that confirmation.

Up until the recent coughing fits Hillary's Health seemed to be a taboo subject on FOX. There was a lot of evidence out there and aside from Hanity it was like it did not exist. In the past commentators like Oreilly and Gutfield would have been all over it, but there was no mention.

I read about the sexual harassment allegations against Ailes, and they were the weakest I have ever heard of.

Just in general my observation of FOX over the last couple of months is it's losing it's edge.

Cable dude - cable. For real ratings, Fox News is at the bottom of the heap.

Murdoch's kids are going to tear the place apart; I eagerly await their demise.

Yes, there are rumors that Left wing elements (Murdock Kids) are conducting a coup. FOX does seem to be losing it's edge. All Cable and Network TV will be dead soon. Up until recently FOX was one of the few strong enough to make the cross over to a subscription internet station.

Even if FOX does disappear it wont equal better ratings for CNN or the networks.

Not really. Some of the demographics aren't helpful. I grew up in one of the largest cities in the United States, and it had five TV stations even back-in-the-day. So when I headed off to college, I was shocked to discover that if you wanted any TV at all, meaning the tiny, cheesy local station, you had to have cable.

What I mean is that "in town" in larger cities, cable is an "extra," a luxury. Where I live, there are now two TV stations, CBS and ABC, so those who don't care so much about the boob tube, like me, can choose not to "splurge" on cable.

But out here in the county, if you want any TV at all, you have to have cable. If you want to have any TV at all, you have to have cable. Only one road up from me, folks have TV cable but no Internet. Yes, in 2016. And I don't have a choice: It's Suddenlink (which gobbled up the previous sole provider, which had bought up its predecessor) or nothing at all.

So there's cable for those who don't "need" it and cable for those of us who do. I'm not sure that the reported demographics necessarily represent me.

It's statements and videos like this that occasionally remind me that my fantasy of sometime living in a much smaller town, being the Amazon Prime/Netflix millennial are going to be trying.

Well, yes, and it's a trade-off if you need the 'Net for more than news/entertainment. If you hope to telecommute or teach online, you've got a problem. And not to be even more of a downer, but people I know who've tried Dish and paid out the wazoo to do so because it was for work ultimately called them and told them to forget it.

As I say, I'm grateful that all along I had a cable option and then a 'Net option. Only one then and now, but one is enough.

Oh, and depending, the trade-off is worth it. I've a friend who lives in another county and does teach online, and she just arrives earlier and stays longer in the office. Then she makes the 22-mile drive home and steps into another world of cows and cats and donkeys and dogs and Mustang grapes growing on the vine and hay to bail.

Worth it to blast your music as loud as you please and to stare up at an inky, starry sky and listen to the cattle lowing.

Agreed.

Perino is excellent. Logical and sensible.

Greg Gutfeld OTOH, is the exact type of guy I have a diametric personality clash with. It just is.

The kinda' guy that at a party you just can't wait for him to leave.

Look what she has to deal with (until Juan steps in):

Gutfeld says things to be funny and call attention to himself like every class clown we have ever known.

I am not a senior citizen...which means I do not care.

Fox is programmed for seniors...just as pretty much all major US network news networks/programs are.

Network news, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS laugh at cable news ratings. It's a fixed audience away from public signals.

I am amazed at your inability to follow your own treads. If you honestly have an issue such as ADD, I will be happy to stay and help you out to understand things. If you are just being a troll, I have to time for that.

You, started out by claiming that Fox News, is sinking in the ratings. It was pointed out (by your own link) that they are indeed growing in the ratings. It was also pointed out to you that Fox News is a cable channel, not broadcast. Of course broadcast has higher ratings than cable as there are many more viewers. Try to stay focused really hard on the next point. You did not start out comparing broadcast to cable. You started out saying Fox News Ratings were dropping.

Here is another point I hope you try really hard to stay focused on. Fox News ratings are growing, not shrinking. And here is the best part. You provided the proof twice.

Fox News leads nobody in anything. Report are out now that CNN is killing Fox in the ratings: Fox News Takes A HUGE HIT In The Ratings - No Longer First, Here's WHY! cheer-leading for Trump is blamed.

Didn't we already address this? Yes we did.

From the CNN link:

cable-news-apr-6-vs-apr-15.jpg

Try reading the article you linked instead of just looking at the title. Sometimes titles can be misleading. CNN only beat Fox News in one demographic, not viewership. The image above shows Fox is still ahead of CNN.

Try really hard to stay focused. I have a child with ADD, so I understand the difficulties you are having. Here is a helpful hint; try reading only one sentence at a time; stop and absorb it. That will help keep your mind from wandering between sentences.
