When will CNN apologize to Donald Trump

When you see pigs flying get ready to hear it.

The real question should be this. When will the morons who voted for Trump in the GOP Primary apologize to the rest of the country for foisting this buffoon onto the rest of us?

Well, it's not just the loony toon sectors - my link was to Reuters.

I think it wouldn't hurt to clarify or follow-up.

The way the story hit print, it did appear the contact with Trump was official. I almost posted it here, then saw the USSS official rebuttal afterwards, and I changed my mind about posting it.

If not misleading, the CNN story is less than clear, so yeah
I'd like to see them issue something
.

CNN issues something constantly, it's on the air 24/7.

But it might not always be exactly what you're looking for.

This thread is about CNN. CNN lied. Trump did not lie. Deflecting doesn't seem very courageous.

Random trump lie

"I know more about ISIS than the generals do"

Another probable trump lie "I invented the question mark"

Oh, the irony of Donald Trump, or the Trumpkins, demanding an apology from anyone.

Another story that strikes me as totally dependent upon the perspective of those reporting.

It's quite possible, and highly likely in my view, that one or more of the secret service agents assigned to protect Donald Trump 24/7 was asked by superiors to, or perhaps on their own initiative, speak with Trump campaign officials about the potential impact of the candidate's off the cuff 2nd amendment statements and cautioned about the impacts of such language in the heated political climate.

Such an approach would constitute both contact as well as no official contact, as in an investigation.

Personally, I'd much rather see CNN in particular, but others as well, apologize for their entirely over the top initial coverage and pimping of Donald Trump for the past 12 months prior to the conventions where they basically kissed the man's ass on a daily basis to get him on their air. The media gave America Donald Trump and they should be ashamed. It's richly ironic that the Trumpettes want the media to now apologize for not continuing to kiss his ass today.

Again, 'formal' is different from 'official'.

But it does seem odd that I cant find anywhere except directly from the reporters after Trump directly accused CNN of making the story up. Seems like they would at least want to milk this for ratings. Maybe they are actually (gasp!) investigating the story and will respond at a later time.

The Clinton News Network was caught flat-out lying about the news. They just made it up, they created a whole media fantasy that never happened in real life.

CNN said the Secret Service paid Donald Trump a visit, over comments made about the Second Amendment.

Apparently CNN is a lying sack of dung, just like its namesake.

Official: No formal Secret Service discussions with Trump camp on remark | Reuters

The foreign press was on it right away, they're on a make-fun-of-America kick, and it's not hard so far in this election.

And.... I'll bet you won't hear about any of this in the lying domestic media, because they're too busy pre-empting their guests whenever they have anything good to say about Donald Trump.

CNN just made up the news. Just like Hillary Clinton made up those non-existent bullets in Kosovo.

The shamelessly desperate media isn't even trying to hide it anymore, they're flat-out lying about the news now.

Seems that anyone who buys Hillary's call for "unity" is a bit of a fool. (More than just a bit, perhaps).

No...and why should they? People won't stop believing their lies even if they do.

Heck, last election a friggen Senate Majority Leader lied about Romney...later admitted his lie and said, "Hey, it worked."...and nobody cared.

Nobody cares this time, either.

Is it possible that there are members here who aren't clever enough to understand your rather simple and direct question?

You have the standard problem of the left bullying those with views they disagree with. They are shouting down the OP with thread craps.

Nothing new to see here. It's what they do.

Regarding Trump, the more that comes out about Hillary the better Trump does. CNN? They have always been a part of the DNC. If Romney would have had the cajones, he'd have shoved that microphone down Candy Crowley's throat. CNN's coverage dances lightly past anything to do with Hillary's Pay to Play to make way for Trump bashing.

The others would have lost too. They are all pals. They won't throw a harsh work, will not call a crook a crook, and will buy in to the FBI's fixing of the investigation as a normal process of government.

We would not be talking about immigration, tax reform, trade policy, and the fubar middle east.

It would be Jeb Bush and Hillary each having a tug of war with the same crown.

I am still absolutely stunned that the GOP managed to nominate the only person in the universe who could lose to Hillary in a general election.

You and me both.

That ballot was actually much longer, that's all I could fit with my iPhone. Further down ballot was Kasich who my husband voted for, and a hell of a lot of other names. Hell, even Jim Gilmore who got only 6 votes in Iowa could have beaten Trump.

Jeb would have kept the race close, and probably would have won given all of Hillary's various troubles.

Cruz might today be neck and neck with her because he really is just a tad bit "off." But, in the end, Ted is sharp enough to know that he would have to pivot, and he is disciplined enough to successfully pull it off. He would probably have squeaked out a victory.

Rubio would be 5 points up on HRC right now if Christi and Trump didn't knife him in the primary.

Kasich would be up 20 points today, and it would the D discussing dumping Hillary instead of the GOP considering whether or not dumping Trump is still an option.

For sure, if it had come down to Bush and Clinton, Clinton would win. The media would have done everything they can...just as they are doing now...to ensure a Clinton win.

The only thing Trump has going for him that Bush would never have is a very large turnout of voters who are sick and tired of the Elites of both Parties running things.

That would be what I hope.

But here's another interesting Trump-USSS type interaction:

Jezebel: The Secret Service Protected Reporter Katy Tur After Donald Trump Singled Her Out at a Rally

If the story is accurate, it may be the first time I've heard of the Secret Service protecting a citizen from a Presidential nominee!
