Our Lady of Guadalupe

No, Tosca, you say that Catholics are bowing down and worshipping idols. This is what YOU say.

That's a generalized statement.

Catholics posting on this thread have said that they are not, but because you are so convinced of your mighty rightness, you are ignoring what they say.

Well my goodness. I'm not debating about each individual's practices!

I'm talking about the Marian Doctrines, and the evidences are given.
Lol, just because a handful of posters here say they don't bow or kneel before the statue of Mary, or any other saints........
......doesn't mean that what I'm saying isn't accurate!

So YOU say, and not that you know most Catholics.

I was one. I was among them.

If you're not a Catholic - and if you don't do any of those forbidden things - I'd shut up if I were you.
You're beginning to look like the poster girl for this verse!

Isaiah 44

9
All who make idols are nothing,
and the things they treasure are worthless.

Those who would speak up for them are blind;
they are ignorant, to their own shame.

Does the Marian Doctrine exists or not, nota bene? What do you think?

Just that video alone shows how accurate the arguments are against the doctrines!
Did you look at the video? A good look? With your eyes wide open?

Did you understand what was happening - what was being said in the video?

Oh, certainly not. No, this is heartfelt evangelization, noble and helpful. You're trying to save souls and are being underappreciated. :lamo
Your hubris astounds me.

Lol. You've revealed so much about yourself in the last few days, I must say.
I haven't seen much of your posts in other topics, so what you've been posting has come as a big surprise to me.

There is much work to be done.

Matthew 9

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

The poor people are being deceived into doing what is most grievous to God. They are being led to Satan.

John 4

35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

You're definitely not me. I'm not going to respond to the rest of your personal attack here except to say that you appear not to understand that insulting and judging others first and then expecting them to take seriously the insincere questions you follow with is...a disconnect.

@ The basilica is the most visited Catholic pilgrimage site in the world ....

What do you say to that?

I say let me know if anyone bumps into her while there. My guess, nobody will. Know why? She's another invisible entity that doesn't exist, like god.

You're definitely not me.

I know that!
I don't spout off ignorant, juvenile stuffs.

No....don't even try to throw emojis, giant colored fonts at me! It's the message, nota bene. That's what sets us apart.

I know - and, reasonable people know - this is what you can't answer:

Does the Marian Doctrine exists or not, nota bene?

That's the question that nuked your opinion.

Simply put: you're running away from that question!

and judging others first and then expecting them to take seriously the insincere questions you follow with is...a disconnect.

Read Post #51

Lol. Your expectation from this discussion is so..........immature!
You expect me to deal with each and every individual practices - whether each of them bow or kneel or pray to Mary! :lamo
Like as if, just because a few say they don't worship, that it's not happening in the Catholic Church!

This is a forum, nota bene. We're not sitting around a table at the bar, shooting the breeze!

Say that again?

Where is the.......disconnect?

I KNOW where the disconnect is! Your own post shows it! It's there - for all to see.

Anyway.....I thought you've calmed down already and we can really have a discussion. Obviously, not.

Obviously. You don't listen. You alone are correct, and you are always correct and will brook no contrarian opinions because anybody who disagrees with you is wrong and deserves to be personally attacked and mocked. And so this thread is another "Tosca show." The blessing, I suppose, is that you never tire of talking to yourself.

Btw: Guadelupe should not be mixed up with Guadeloupe:

Like the other overseas departments, it is an integral part of France. As a constituent territory of the European Union and the Eurozone, the euro is its official currency and any European Union citizen is free to settle and work there indefinitely. As an overseas department, however, it is not part of the Schengen Area. The region formerly included Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin, which were detached from Guadeloupe in 2007 following a 2003 referendum.

The official language is French; Antillean Creole is also spoken.

Just FYI, it's Guadalupe, and the "G" is pronounced as a "W."

Mentioning this only because the delicious avocado dish is guacamole, and it's pronounced "Wakka-mole," but nearly everybody mispronounces both this and "jalapeño," which is correctly pronounced "ha-la-pain-yo," not "peeno."

Are you sure?

Maybe you meant: gua = gwa

Guadalupe | Spanish Pronunciation - SpanishDict

Depending on the region, it is GWA (Spanish). It's a hard Spanish "G" like gracias, or gato.

But, not always. Maybe nota bene heard someone coming from Central America.

In Central America and the Caribbean, they have a very soft sound (closer to an English H), almost like you're breathing through the letter when you say it.

UGH. That's one of my pet peeves --- "hall-e-PEE-no". Even people who work for Food Network do this.

But it's not worse than people who say Ree-sees Pee-sees. I can't even with those people.

Guacamole (a dip), originated from Mexico. Maybe, that's the difference.

Why, yes. You pronounce "guacamole" the way Mexicans do. It's their dish.

Did I say so?

Old Catholic story. Italian woman is praying in church. A voice is heard from on high:

“Elizabeth, this is Jesus... Elizabeth, this is Jesus, I have something to tell you. Eliza...”.

“Son, please be quiet while I’m talking to your mother.”

A nice anekdote! :)

But, as you can see - it is also pronounced with a hard G (video).
Thus, it can be pronounced both ways.

Actually, when one talks normally and pronounce it in a normal conversational speed - the "g" sort of becomes "soft."
It would seem like it is "wacamole," because the "g" just comes out like a guttural sound (making it seem "silent" because it's hardly heard).

However, some Mexican Spanish speakers pronounce guacamole with a "G" as well, albeit much softer than an English "G" would be.

Lol. Of course, we're debating it - what's new? ;)

The correct pronunciation of guacamole is often debated.
In traditional Spanish, guacamole is pronounced with a hard "G", therefore as gwah-kah-MOH-leh. However, in Mexican Spanish, guacamole is pronounced as wah-kah-MOH-leh, with a silent "g". In fact, the original Nahuatl name for guacamole is āhuacamolli, which, does not include a "G".

Both pronunciations of guacamole are acceptable,
