How...yes, we CAN figure out what Heaven is like

Muhammed said most of the dwellers in Hell were women,
He claimed he saw them hanging from their breasts.
He said they were ungrateful for everything their husbands did for them.

I could look up the verses.

yeah he did because they cheated on their husbands

Then u r bound for Hell

Ask Jesus

If u follow him very long u will come to hate..many thing u never used to

He doesn't sound like someone worth following then.

So, you don't think that evil/wicked things are worthy of hate?

Sure I do. But if following Jesus will make me come to hate things that I don't currently already hate, then I want nothing to do with him. I don't want more hate in my life, and anyone who tells me I should hate something "just because" is a more ignorant person than I am. Why would I follow ignorance?

But that's basically what Jesus says we should hate...

If that's all, then fine. I already hate ignorance, even if I still love the ignorant. But if Jesus expects me to hate or judge other things that I don't already hate based on nothing more than tradition or some other unreasonable criteria, then he is not worth following.

The treatment of the LGBT community by some people who claim to follow Jesus' teachings are one thing that makes me question those teachings. If Jesus would side with "freedom of religion" over the equality and full acceptance of LGBT folks, then his teachings embrace ignorance rather than condone it, and are therefore hypocritical and unworthy of my attention. Do you think Jesus would do this?

Well, there again, it comes down to hating the act, not the person...that means you would not want or cause any harm to that person...secular laws were not Christ's concern, nor are they mine...

But what is the reason to hate the act? I reserve hatred for things that cause harm to others. What harm is caused by same-sex relations?

All u have to is this little writing project

Write out all the things that u really hate about this world...or even about yourself

Then go through the list and at each item, ask yourself

Is this kind of thing in Heaven?

I think particularly of one of the things I hate most

Abortion

Have you seen a photo of aborted child?

One thread after another on the same topic, discussing the same thing, going over the same points.

Why don’t you check what’s been written and see if you aren’t stepping into well trodden ground. Add to the existing if after you’ve read it you see you have something new to add.

This wasn’t it. It’s been stated, in triplicate, with multiple cc. Your comment is a redundancy, as is probably this response to it.

Just a notion for consideration.

Food for thought.

One man’s opinion.

Something to ponder.

Words to mull over.

See where I’m heading with this.

For one reason, it goes against the purpose for why we were created...to reproduce and fill the earth...the Bible calls it "the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature"...Romans 1:26

Sexual immorality is also a sin against oneself..."Flee from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but whoever practices sexual immorality is sinning against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18

Sadly, what some people fail to realize is that hating the act does not encourage prejudice, hate crimes, or any other kind of mistreatment of homosexuals or any other person who does not follow God's law..."If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men." Romans 12:18

So then celibacy would also be a sin? What about impotence or infertility?

Now, you're twisting what I said...the act, not the absence of the act, is what the Bible condemns...Jesus said of divorce and remaining single...

“Not all men make room for the saying, but only those who have the gift. For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs on account of the Kingdom of the heavens. Let the one who can make room for it make room for it.” Matthew 19:11,12

So is the act of sex without the express purpose of procreation sinful? What makes non-procreative sex immoral?

Again, that is not what I said...perhaps this will clear it up for you...marriage is between a man and a woman...no mention of man and man or woman and woman...as Paul stated, it is unnatural...

"male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27

"That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to* his wife, and they will become one flesh." Genesis 2:17

Paul made it even more clear how unnatural it is...

"That is why God gave them over to disgraceful sexual passion, for their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; likewise also the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full penalty, which was due for their error." Romans 1:26,27

I see. So only same sex sexual congress is sinful. And it can't be because it is non-procreative, since we have established that non-procreative sex within a hetero marriage is not sinful.

So why is same sex relations immoral? This is my issue, as following the teachings of Christianity will lead me to judge something as being wrong that I currently don't judge to be wrong for a reason I don't understand. Don't I need to understand why before I do that?

Actually, any sex outside of the marriage bond is sinful in God's eyes...marriage is to be only between a man and a woman...
