No. Most of my family are Christians, and few of them are fundies. My mom is Christian, yet she believes most people, regardless of their beliefs, are going to heaven, that god looks at our heart, our soul, rather than who we believe in.
Iwould like to copy this here:
I would like to repeat:
I am not anti-Christian.
I am a Catholic, and so I am a Christian myself.
If I were anti-Christian, then I would be anti-myself.
What I oppose strongly is the use of the word "Christian" as a synonym for evangelical fundamentlists.
By suggesting that only they are Christians one insults all other Christians beside those evangelical fundamentlists.
There are a lot more Christians out there in this word beside evangelical fundamentalists.
Please note.
By now I have come to the conclusion that the whole thing is not so much a religious but a linguistic problem.
As it seems, those evangelical fundamentalists have captured and usurped the term "Christians" for themselves, and themselves only.
There is nothing that we could do about it.
It is a mindset.
Those evangelical fundamentalists live in a small world of their own, not accessable to any reason or arguments.
The best thing we can do is to watch them in silence and with a degree of amusement.
Is Christian a synonym for evangelical fundamentalists or are there other Christians as well?
The evangelical sects are the conspiracy theorist of Christendom.
@ Christian as a synonym for evangelical fundamentalists
When I first came across this most silly opinion, I was surprised about such utter stupidity
And I thought: This person must be completely un-educated
Someone who has zero knowledge of religion
And I thought this was a rare case of un-usual stupidity
next stage:
When I realized that this was the norm with many such evangelical fundamentalists, I grew angry about their arrogance.
How can they!
How dare they!
How can they be so arrogant as to think they are the only Christians on earth?
next stage:
I tried to argue with them
That only leads to frustration
These people cannot be reached by reason and arguments
next stage:
I have given up arguing
This leads nowhere
So I regard those people with mild amusement and do not take them seriously any more.
Better that way,
When I first came across this most silly opinion, I was surprised about such utter stupidity
And I thought: This person must be completely un-educated
Someone who has zero knowledge of religion
And I thought this was a rare case of un-usual stupidity

But they can believe what they want.
Again and again I have seen the term "Christians" applied to evangelical fundamentalists only, as if it were a synonym for Christians and there were no other Christians beside them anywhere.
So here now is a poll on this topic.
