Back when hiv became a problem many christians believed that HIV was god's punishment to gays. The coronavirus seems to spare children and kill the elderly. So is the coronavirus punishment to the boomers for all the sins they have commited?
 
So iow, back then people were talking nonsense that we now must repeat.
 
God's wrath falls on sinners, not boomers who are possibly the least sinners of all of us. Now if we're talking about curses, I think Trump was Satan's curse on mankind.

Well it certainly makes Trump's cuts to social security more doable, but I am not sure God is involved in the calculus.

No, but I do believe it's just a part of Bible prophecy being fulfilled...pestilence would be a notable feature of the time period preceding the “great tribulation"...Matthew 24:3, 21; Luke 21:10, 11...
 
God is a conjured-up fictional character similar to what you'd find in Greek Mythology, or even the imaginary characters many of us believed in during our childhood.

Like the mythological creatures and the figments of our wild imaginations, there is absolutely no proof of the existence of a divine power known as God - absolutely NONE!

It's time to quit believing in far-fetched fairy tales and listening to those voices inside your heads, folks. Praying to an asshole god isn't going to get you anywhere!

Many Christians believe whatever is asked of God the Father in God the Son's name will be granted so they can always pray and they will be safe.

That has nothing at all to do with the 'wrath of God'. God doesn't 'give' cancer to children. God doesn't interfere with the natural state of human existence. Cancer is just a condition of human life. So no, God doesn't give children cancer, God doesn't create children born without arms, God doesn't allow children to be raped or murdered. You're very wrong if you believe that God would do any harm or allow any harm to children.

Faith doesn't provide anyone with these answers.

You are right about that but God does give us answers to why...Satan challenged God's right to rule mankind in the the Garden of Eden...in order to answer that challenge, which is not one of power, by any means, but one of sovereignty, the only way to answer that challenge is time...God has stepped back, as you stated, "God doesn't interfere with the natural state of human existence." for a time, to allow that challenge to play out...to actually prove who's rule is better for mankind...Satan's or God's...1 John 5:19 confirms that fact and...

"We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."

Soon, Satan's rule will come to an end and God's rule will begin for all of mankind...
