In the beginning. Gen1:1When did God create the world?
No matter the date it would still be in the beginning.
In the beginning. Gen1:1When did God create the world?
Around 6,000 years ago. Detection of appreciable amounts of C14 in nearly every substance on earth with a biologic background, including coal, oil, diamonds and so forth, prove that, according to C14 dating standards, nothing on earth is more than 50,000 years or so in age.
BS, the scientists change their story so massively so often that your argument does not pass the stiff test.
Have you anything better
So not only am I supposed to believe the bible stories I'm also supposed to believe god created the universe and we're the only ones in it? Sorry, can't swallow that pill.
Using what measure?
If we use the scientific method combining various metrics...about 4.6 billion years, give or take a few millions.
If we use "creationism 'theory'," a little over 6000 years.
Take your pick.

If your question is based only on the premise that "God" is the biblical christian god, then the question is not answerable.
The biblical christian god does not exist, therefore it's impossible for that "God" to have created anything.
When did God create the world?
Good point...science can only go so far as imperfect man's knowledge...Genesis 1:1 states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:2 states, "Now the earth was formless and desolate, and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep, and God’s active force was moving about over the surface of the waters"...we have no earthly idea how much time passed between verse 1 and verse 2...but God knows...
i said I don't know
all i know is that sometimes i wish he hadn't bothered
No, again you are projecting your assumptions onto others.
Let me give you an example of metaphysical thought.
We have only fairly recently discovered processes which allow us to create this internet. We are since then realizing all sorts of applications.
One of the most popular is the creation of internet "universes" where we can play out various fantasies in a "universe" specifically created for that purpose.
The best popularly known exemplar of this is the movie "The Matrix." There people existing inside think they are living in "reality." Yet their entire history is a programed memory.
So what you think is "established, provable, fact" might be a weeks old "program" in a vast "pocket universe" with each of us "non-player characters."
Try to have an open mind.
I postulate that much more than just "the biblical christian god" does not exist.
Science has pretty much nailed down what happened after 10 to the −32 sec after ground zero. That's pretty freaking good, if you ask me. Genesis, otoh, is about as wrong as can be after postulating "and then there was light."
BTW: Light was not the first thing to emerge from the ether. It was just space and time. Light came much later.
HE TIME LINE OF CREATION
THE BEGINNING
The material heavens and earth are created.—Genesis 1:1.
Earth formless and dark
DARKNESS
The earth is formless, desolate, and dark.—Genesis 1:2.
Day 1: light; day and night
FIRST DAY
Diffused light evidently penetrates the earth’s atmosphere. If there had been any observer on the surface of the earth, the sources of light would have been imperceptible to him. Yet, the difference between night and day became discernible.—Genesis 1:3-5.
Day 2: expanse
SECOND DAY
The earth is covered with water and a dense mantle of vapor. These two elements are separated, creating a gap between the watery surface and the canopy of vapor. The Bible describes this space as “an expanse between the waters,” and calls it “Heaven.”—Genesis 1:6-8.
Day 3: dry land and vegetation
THIRD DAY
Surface water subsides and dry ground appears. The atmosphere clears up to allow more sunlight to reach the ground. Some vegetation appears, with new species sprouting through the third and subsequent creative days.—Genesis 1:9-13.
Day 4: heavenly luminaries
FOURTH DAY
The sun and moon become discernible from the earth’s surface.—Genesis 1:14-19.
Day 5: fish and birds
FIFTH DAY
God creates underwater creatures and flying creatures in great numbers with the ability to procreate within their kinds.—Genesis 1:20-23.
Day 6: land animals and humans
SIXTH DAY
Land animals are created, both large and small. The sixth day culminates with a masterpiece of God’s physical creation: the first human couple.—Genesis 1:24-31.
The account is a record of how the earth was prepared by God for life long after it's original creation in verse 1...

If there is something "out there", I sure hope it takes the form of something like this:
and not some grumpy old white man with a long beard....
Day two there was no water. The earth was molten rock.
Mic drop
That is not what verse 2 says..".the earth was formless and desolate, and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep,"
