Religions that I like ....

..... or are in favour of, or sympathize with ..... etc etc

And of course you can click onto your own religion as well.

One person may like more than just one religion.
Or none.
As the case max be ...

Christians / Jewish / and Buddhists i picked. I'm not fond of Islam, and Buddhism supplants
any other eastern religions.
I started off as a Catholic, and this was back in days of Latin Mass.
I liked the ritualism, as well as Christianity's Good News

the ritualism, and the prayers help you follow the meaning of the mass.
Buddhists have many symbols as well

I also like rituals and symbols. :)

Show me a religion and I'll show you people trying to control other people.

Protestant - with the exception of evangelical fundamentalists

I worded this option this way - so that I could click onto "Protestant" as well.
I like many Protestant churches.
But I definitely do not like fanatical evangelical fundamentalists who go as far as to say that Catholics etc. are no Christians.
Who in effect claim the term "Christian" for themselves only.

Buddhists chant, and decorate temples and some have prayer wheels/flags.
The chanting helps accomplishes meditative thoughts and the prayer itself

Islam emphasizes mindfullness of Allah at al time; and practices ways to reduce other "distractions"

I keep saying that I'm not a herd beast. I mostly say that in reference to politics and political parties but it applies to much more than that...including religion.

I hold no animus against any religion. They all serve the same purpose: To give the herd beasts something to hold onto.

Because of this, I can answer the poll with "None" and "All". None for me, all for everyone who needs them.

Baha’is are interesting.

They believe all the religions of the world are from the same God, just saying different things to different people at different points in history. But their message has always been to unify, create harmony within that society, and bring out the beat and full God-given potential of man.

So the Baha’is believe that the latest message of God to man for today’s age is that we should lay aside all hatred and conflict based on religion, race, sex, nationality, etc.... and create a new world in peace. Only then can humanity realize its full God-given possibilities and potential.

If you’re going to have religion, that sounds like as good a one as any.

I was thinking of indivual persons.
In every religion there are lots of persons who do NOT want to control other persons.

The number of these persons may differ from religion to religion, though.

Like I said, show me a religion and I'll show you people controlling other people. That's all religion is, a form of control used by humans to control other humans. Always has been. A true god wouldn't require nor need worship. If it did, it would be flawed and therefore not a GOD.

If I had to be part of a religion I'd be Taoist or Buddhist. The main stream of both are atheistic religions focused on improving one's own experience. No supernatural phenomena or centralized control required.

Not all religions have a god or a central human authority. I get your point and you're mostly right, but there are some notable exceptions.

None. I believe in God, not much on religion.

I often reads things like that.

So it is only God and you, is it?
And what about other human beings?
Do you look down upon all of them?

Are you alone with God?
You and God are chums - and the rest of the world may go to hell - as far as you are concerned?
Is it like this?

Not at all, i just find that religion is a human institution. It's purpose is to control people.

Though I'm a member of the Baptist church, I'm for non-denominational - after all, aren't all Christians supposed to be ONE BODY?

I am a Catholic, but at the present time I like the Anglican Community more.
They have kept most of the old traditions and rituals.
And they allow priests to marry, and women to become priests.

I think the Catholic Church should do the same.

Islam also has orders from God to kill everyone else.

And not just the Kafir, but also the "Bad Muslims".
