I would say that a person who is baptized is a Christian.
Was the thief on the cross next to Jesus baptized?

Why should he be a Christian?

Cannot be there good people on earth who are not Christians?

    Well, let's see:

He had faith in Christ and he was told he would be in paradise with Jesus that very day. Evidently he was forgiven his crimes.

Other than that I can't think of anything.

In other words: All Jews go to hell?
    And all other religions also?
Sorry, I do not understand you here at all.

I find it a very arrogant idea, that only Christians can go to paradise.

And a deeply un-Christian idea, if I may say so.

I didn't say any of that and it's dishonest of you (and arrogant) to say so.

It was implied in your answer -and you know that very well.

But let us agree to disagree.

Christians do say that. They claim that belief in the resurrection of Jesus is the qualification to be a Christian, and that belief in Jesus is the only way to enter heaven. It follows from that that Jews and any other non-believers in Jesus are doomed to hell.

    Exactly!

Or rather: Some Christians say so.

There are people in every denomination of Christianity who think they are the one true Christians. That's why we have jokes about Methodists being surprised to see Baptists in Heaven.

And Soutern Baptists may swoon in horror when they see those "pagan" Catholics in Heaven!
Instead of in Hell - where all Catholics belong to - in the eyes of many of those over-pious Baptists.
